So, my names Shawn. Im currently in the united states marine corps. Started vaping 3 weeks ago because I had my first baby 2 weeks ago, and always promised myself I would not smoke when I had kids. Well after about a week, I got really into it, and now made my first box mod. Yes, it looks like junk, but im proud of my soap box mod. (Its literally a soap box)

so, just wanted to stop in and say hello, and thanking the original creators of vaping, because its made my life so much more enjoyable!

Hi Shawn, welcome to ECF and thank you for your service to our country. I like the mod'er spirit and if you've got this working you definitely have some skills. That said I would be a little worried about using your box. CK mentioned the plastic box - this could definitely be an issue if the mod gets hot. Just be careful, do your research, and make sure that you're vaping safe.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Just to clear up some of the stuff everyones been saying;

1) Yes the box is plastic, but im running a single coil at .7 ohms, just to be on the safe side so it wouldnt melt, because after about 20 seconds continious holding of the button, she does heat up quite a bit.

2) Total cost of the mod - $7.38
Box - $0.59
3ft 22guage solid copper wire - $1.16
Battery Holder - $2.29
Button switch - $3.38
510 connector - FREE (out of a buddys EVOD)
Obviously the battery and solder, but I already had those.

First of all, like others, thank you for your service. I am a discharged SeaBee myself.

Welcome to the forum.

Grats on your first mod. It has given me inspiration on what to do with my old plastic cigarette box from when I rolled my own instead of just throwing it away. I just have to cut the baffles out. Maybe will leave the baffles, might make an ideal battery holder. I just have to figure out a latch to keep the lid down.
