Hey everyone, i am new to this forum and just had a quick newbert questions. First, i am deathly afraid of burning up my atty. I read something when i was starting up about how people new to vaping have the tendency to do this. I guess the question I have is there a trick that most of you had to learn over time? Or is it just simply to make sure your atty stays wet? If i overlooked a previous thread that contained this information, i apologize for wasting your time.

Thanks

Attys are kinda like light bulbs....sometimes you get one that lasts for weeks and weeks, others might fail after just a few hours....best thing to do is to try to keep them wet....not flooded wet, but nice and moist...
What kind of setup are you using?... direct dripping or using carts?
Many people prefer cartos....you get a fresh atty built into every one....
Either way, you should get a few spares....they don't last forever....

Practice is the best teacher for using atomizers. With a clean, empty atty I start with 6 drops, take a few primer puffs (no inhaling) and the flavor and vapor begin to flow. Top off with a couple of drops when the flavor begins to diminish, before you get a burnt taste. Too much liquid and you'll hear gurggling with little vapor and weird taste. Uncscrew the atty from the connector, blow the contents into a tissue, discard, add a drop or two and try again.

When your atty is just right you'll hear a sizzle. You'll learn your perfect sizzle sound. A regular resistance atty is a light sizzle where a low resistance atty has more heat and a louder sizzle. I hold my PV near my ear and fire it if it's been sitting for a bit to determine if I'm ready to vape or need liquid. With practice you'll know when to drip and not have to experience a dry atty burnt taste.

When you want to vape, holding down the button for 4 seconds or so before putting the drip tip to your mouth to vape will warm the juice and give you a flavorful, warm vape. Dripping (for me) is the purest form of vaping. I haven't found a cartomizer or tank system that can replicate the flavor and experience of dripping. It can be a hassle when mobile. At home or work it's no big deal. Many use attys only to taste juice then fill cartos. Thats easier with a faster learning curve. Good luck.

Thanks for all of the advice. It is really helpful. I am currently using a tank system and am not too worried about flooding or drying out my atomizer with this setup. The thing is I just purchased a normal cart system, and was just trying to get some information before i received it. Did not want to get it and just go vape crazy and end up ruining it because of a novice mistake.
