Hi everyone.

I'm four weeks into this and love it. I actually gave up smoking when I was diagnosed with emphysema ten years ago. Started again after eight years and then gave up a year ago. Being a smoker for over fifty years I'm obviously hard core. Always craved it every day. Luckily my emphysema doesn't cause me any particular problems but when I was smoking it certainly did. Because I craved so much I started researching e cigs. Finally decided on Halo gear with triton tank. So excited when it arrived and couldn't believe how good it was! I used to roll my own and it was such a chore especially when they go out so quickly. This is soooo much better. Can just have a puff when ever I feel like it, which appears to be quite often! And can't believe how cheap it is after initial outlay.
Four weeks in and am not coughing and feel fine.
It's a shame I have to buy online from USA. I live in Australia and whilst you can buy e cigs here you can't buy nicotine.It's illegal to sell in Aus but not illegal to import for own use. Go figure!! Love this site and reading all information. I don't understand a lot of it but still really interesting. Have a happy day everyone.

Congrats on finding vaping to be your solution - it's worked for many thousands of us here on ECF.

You've got some good gear there, so you should be right as rain. For many people, it takes a bit to get used to the maintenance, but your home-rolled background has actually prepared you nicely for the task at hand. This is, as you say, easier.

Hi susie and congrats on 4 weeks analog free. It gets better and better with time. I also think it is a shame that vaping is not more acceptable and better embraced.

I hope you find some way to celebrate your being tobacco free for 4 weeks. It is a huge accomplishment and should be rewarded.

Thanks for sharing your experience and I look foward to future posts of your successes (and don't forget to share your vaping challenges because we support each other through those as well).

If you enjoyed RYO as a little ritual, there are lots of good DIY aspects of vaping that may pique your interest. Rebuilding coils, mixing your own juice, etc. etc.

However, there is a ton of information out there for you to learn more about vaping and the different ways to do it. For the time being, just enjoy your low-maintenance setup as is, and all the great flavored juices you're going to try.

Welcome to the vape club, SusieC. I am on week 3 and loving it--especially loving all the great flavors of "juice." French Vanilla...mmmmmm...and much better tasting than a cig, believe me. The fact that it is better for you is almost 2nd to the taste once you get off the smokes!
