Hey all! Quit smoking cancer sticks in 2014 after developing COPD/Emphysema and being hospitalized four years in a row. Started with Greensmoke but they've gone way downhill after being acquired by big tobacco. Now shopping around for stick cig carts and batteries. Of the e-juices I've tried lately I prefer Black Note. Pricey but great taste and said not to contain glycol additives. Any suggestions/comments appreciated.

Hi and Welcome,
Where are you located?
Do you want pre-filled carts or empties to fill yourself?
Do you have a budget? MUST it be "stick"style?
If you like Black note, have you tried El Toro

Cheers
I

Have you looked into "Pods"? They are the newer generation of small form factor, and simple. There is an ECF subforum Vape Pod Systems

Welcome.

Never heard of Black Note. Just looked them up and I am going to order a bottle of Legato. When I first started vaping, I used Johnson Creek and they had an awesome tobacco flavor. They are no longer in business and I never found another tobacco flavor I enjoyed and switched to Vanilla and try to only buy from those that publish their results. Great tip.

Greensmoke - that is the twist on cartridge that looks like an analog cig? Like vuse? I now use a mod with a tank. If you are not looking to go that route - maybe a pod. How are using the current e-liquid - in what type of setup?

Welcome and glad you joined.
Pods and stick cig carts can get costly but worth the price to wean you off smokes.

Welcome.

I am against cig-a-likes (like Greensmoke) and pods (like Juul) unless you can refill them.

Clearly, anything that gets you off/keeps you off the smokes is a good thing, but there are a lot of products out there which are very poor and very expensive and tie you into their refills.

I vape for less than $1 a day. A proprietary pods or cartomizers refill system in the UK can cost thousands a year. :nah:

The first cig-a-like system I used was lining up to be $4,000 a year. But... it sounds like you have worked this out about Greensmoke, Blu and all those other evil brands that want to enjoy 500% profit margins.

It used to be possible to buy stick cig-a-like systems in non-brand (as made by Kangertech and ordered from China) for 15-20% cost of the brands like Blu and Greensmoke.

Have you considered a slim/small 'ego' type system with a modern clearomizer? Inexpensive and satisfying if a cig-a-liked worked for you.
