Been vaping about 7 months, dripping for 2, been trying as many builds as I can just to get to know them. Picture below is a zipper coil (26g kanthal) on a rafale x (neutral post removed) 6 wraps @.2ohms on my alien 220w. Any and all advice is appreciated and accepted.

Other coils learned/made
Single, parallel, twisted, triple twisted, hive, zipper, clapton, fused clapton, alien, dragon skin, quadtwist, sextotwist (6 strands), octotwist (8 strands), chained, double hive (twisting two hive coils together), pretty much all the beginner and intermediate coils, taking a break for a while before I start these incredibly time consuming exotic builds but if anyone has a good place to start please let me know!

Yea it's a lot of trial and error, but it all adds up to valuable experience. Ive built a few coils but I'm definitely a rookie. I started using the Uwell crown tank and loved the flavor and vaper. The coils last me a couple of months so I don't bother building my own. It's ten bucks for a 4 pack of coils that will last me 8-9 months so I don't see any reason to build. It's a good thing too because my eyesight isn't what it used to be so it's all for the best. Good luck building, you will be an expert in no time.

I've heard good things about the crown, I have uwell's rafale X myself and building your own coils allow you to fine tune your vaping experience and you can get a 50ft spool of wire for less than $5 and if you did a simple build like triple twisted which gives huge flavor, you could build about 25-30 coils off that spool each lasting 6 months or more if you take care of it.

Update, just ordered an Avocado 24 and a Buddha V2 clone. Will post builds when I figure out what's (subjectively) best for them
