Now for the wood in December!

I'm really really happy I discovered Reo's. I just love 'em so much! Kudo's to Rob for making them possible! Now I wait for my Odin, my Magma (plum viel fell through so got a Magma instead) and my second Cyclone. I've got lots of experimenting to do soon! Can't wait!

Notice the cap to the Cyclone is not on all the way. It took me forever soaking it in hot water to get it off and now I'm afraid to put it all the way back on, it's a super tight fit. Has any one ever lubed these before?

Just another quick tip for tight atty caps - it's best not to remove or refit really tight caps with the atty screwed into the Reo, it could cause unnecessary wear and tear on the Reo's 510. Instead you can remove the atty, screw it into a 510 adaptor and use that to hold the atty base while you pull the cap off, or use an old cheap clone mod or ego battery to hold the atty base.

Oh, those are great tips Ian. At one point I was tempted to screw the Cyclone onto one of my Reo's to try and get the cap off but decided against it. I tried a rubber band and pliers and that didn't work, usually works like a charm. Soaking it in hot water for quite a while loosened it just enough to allow the rubber band/plier combo to work. I didn't like having to do all that though. I think I may still have an old ego stuffed in the back of my sock drawer, I'll make good use out of that ego, lol!

For O rings you can also use 100% silicone grease, helps keep o rings from sticking and keeps them lasting long. I use it for my fish tanks pumps since it can take salt water and doesn't hurt the fish. I also use it on my waterproof flashlite o rings.

Funny, I actually have 100% silicone gel for our swimming pool filter O-rings, it keeps them from drying out. I didn't think of it for this use. That's a really good idea!
