the nicotine levels always threw me off a bit..

i smoked a pack/day sometimes more of Marlboro lights.. yet I needed to start at 24mg nic when I started vaping..

24mg = marlboro reds.. which were WAY too harsh for me.. yet the 24mg was perfect

now i'm down to 18mg.. and just ordered some 12mg juices to use in the next month or so when I cut back again.. so it all varies to your body..

get a few different nic levels and figure out which one works for you

It's crazy how everyone is different.

I was 2 packs a day and 24 mg was way to much for me.
I settled at 12 mg within the first week.
I could probably do 16 but just prefer the 12

Your measurements were actual percentage of nicotine 30mg/mL = 3%. Now that we got that straight...

Parliament lights are like sucking air through a straw. I remember bumming one or two from a buddy, years ago. Aren't those the ones with the holes in the paper around the filter? Regardless, I'd have to say, due to your cigarette preference, that your "addiction" is moreso psychological than chemical. Low (6mg/.06%) nicotine may be too high for you. Maybe give 0nic a shot. The throat hit can be had with menthol, alcohol or some other flavors. A lot of vapers have weaned off their nic and still happily vape. You can too. Heck, you could enjoy all the flavors with no worry of accidental OD. Seems like a win.

If I go higher than 20mg/mL I can sense a buzz. Sometimes, using my standard 20mg/mL I get a slight buzz. It doesn't jeopardize my cognitive reasoning, and I like to get a buzz sometimes when I'm off the clock, so it's acceptable to me. I remember the first time I sampled an ecig and felt that buzz. I kinda enjoyed it.

parliament lights are on the stronger side of light cigarettes, I'd say they're a little stronger than camel/marlboro lights. Maybe you tried the ultra lights...

I may be interested in giving it one last try with an ego kit and a clearomizer but I don't really have the cash to spend on it. Is there an ego+clearomizer+ charger that I can get for under 40$ with a full refund policy? Smokeless image wouldn't refund the shipping price or cartomizers which I wasn't thrilled about..

I'm confused by this.
Are there company's that refund your money if you don't like it?
I've never had anyone return my money because I didn't like the pack of smokes I bought.

I suggest you save up and buy a quality kit to get best results.

Really? I tried NJOY and thought they were horrible. I do buy the Blu disposables and I like them. What does poor performance mean? You mean in sales, or in how they work or in how they are perceived by the vaping community? Are they dangerous? My Dad has this notion that e-cigs will blow up in your face. But I haven't read anything about that here, yet.

Heh, there have been a very few cases of exploding batteries but the thing is that we're talking lithium ion batteries that are not just in e-cigs. They're also in every cell phone, laptop, iPad, iPod... you name it. So if your dad uses a laptop or has a cell phone, you could point out that he's putting the same battery close to... ahem... sensitive anatomy parts. And laptops, by the way, have been known to overheat and catch fire.

Lithium has yielded some nice battery tech but it's volatile. Both lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries can overheat and even ignite. The few "explosions" with e-cig batteries are probably more "bursting" from the heat expansion from an overheating battery. And the few cases I've run across involved "mods". Someone doing the DIY thing. Which is a fine thing to do but you are taking some risk. Not that buying over the counter, manufactured items doesn't have some risk to it. Such as, do a Google on "laptop battery fire" sometime. You'll find one of my favorite photos (it's over this way).

But usually, we're talking defects in or mishandling of the batteries. Actual lithium battery fires are rare. Also, newer tech reduces the chances of overheating to the point you almost never hear about it anymore. I can remember the days it seemed you couldn't get turned around without somebody's laptop bursting into flames. :)

If there is something wrong with Blu I'd like to know your opinion please.

Blu has a not so great rep largely, I think, because of their kits. Which, in my opinion (and that of many), are overpriced for what they are and under-perform. I dumped mine after only two weeks (of course, I had found ECF and learned there are tons of better, less costly options out there).

I think their disposables are actually their best product. I still like their "Classic Tobacco" and would still buy a disposable now and again. The good thing being that they're widely available and that's nice to know should I ever get "stuck" without my kit or run out of juice at a bad time or something like that.

My opinion is stay away from their kits. But if you like their disposables, vape away. :)

The disposables may not be the best option out there but they're not bad. I would still pick one up myself. Especially since I've not yet found a tobacco flavor I like other than theirs. Still looking. Have found other flavors I really like but not a tobacco version just yet.

Not from the numbers I found on the web. They're said to be around 0.7 mg of nicotine each and that's on the lower end of the "lights" (though not the "ultra lights" and nobody gets to use the term "light" anymore anyway and I'm not sure which new name corresponds to "light" now).

I had resorted to Salem Gold (formerly "lights") at the end since I liked menthol but around here, the other brands I was willing to smoke cost more. Salems were cheaper. Not by much but some. They're listed at 0.9 mg each.

Maybe you tried the ultra lights...

Or a "full flavor" smoker finds just about any "light" to be weak. I preferred lights because of throat irritation by full flavors and other smokers always said "it's like sucking air" when they bummed one...

Pretty much nobody will refund cartos or liquids. They're considered "consumables". Be a little like trying to get a refund for a half smoked pack of cigs.

Ok I have a 0mg disposable on the way to try out. So for you gentlemen vape regularly, do you get some buzz from it? I have always gotten a very distinct head buzz feeling from e cigs that I don't like. I want to find an e-cig that I can just smoke as I would a cigarette without any intoxicating effects....

I'm lost. Even when I "over vape", I don't get any such effect. Worst that happens to me is if I overdo it in the evening, I have trouble falling asleep. Then again, major nicotine addiction is the big reason I've repeatedly failed in attempts to quit smoking until vaping came along. And like any addict, I have a really big tolerance for the stuff...
