This is the Portuguese Laurel tree that grows outside my bedroom. At this time of the year it is almost in full bloom and smells like orange jasmine. I love the way it attracts the most incredible array of small honeyeaters (birds) and the way it's scent wafts around my house. It tells me spring has finally arrived. The flowers don't last very long but when they do the tree is simply stunning.

My lil big boy Malyish (stands for baby boy in Russian). When he was a puppy the Vet said he would grow to be 80 pounds, now he is 156. Still as dopey goofy as the day we got him.

And his big little brother Brut. Brut is the boss, if your mean to Brut you will deal with Malyish, he is very protective of his older brother.

By the way,,, they were the same size but we left Brut in the dryer a little too long and he shrunk

My husband and our baby girl Penelope:

And me with my fat, Laine girl. She passed away at 9 years old (for a Mastiff that's a decent long life). She's still my first true love, best dog ever.
