Ok, get your yuks on.

I just did the happy dance because - I did my first modification of a component. I drilled out the air hole on my RSST Pyrex. :toast:

I'm progressing... Factory standard basic gear -> better standard gear -> rebuilding coil units -> rebuildables -> modifying.

Now, where can I find chipsets and mosfet switches...

J/k I'm gonna try DIY joose before I try to build anything. Better to give myself a nic OD than blow myself up, right? :danger::facepalm:

Whaoo three cheers for faeriekitsune hip hip hoary!!!!

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not?

Before last night, the most I'd done was get an Aerotank base for my Protank 2. I'm quite happy with the results on my RSST, the stock airhole is like a pinhole and now it's a lovely lung hit capable 5/64. :thumb: Before I always felt like I was trying to suck honey through a coffee straw. :-x

Well done faeriekitsune!

I'm quite sure buzzzlove is rooting for you! Any time we can find a way to improve our vape is certainly worth cheering :)

I received a small army of Mini RDAs, and each has the tiniest of airholes. I want to drill out a couple of them, but I'm a bit leery because I don't want to screw up anything.

So - PROPS to ya!

No sarcasm It feels good to accomplish something you've never done before.

I was a little scared too, but decided it was a cheap enough piece to replace to go for it. I used a cordless drill with a regular drill bit on a slow speed. Finger barely on the trigger. Then because it left a little lip on the inside, I grabbed the dremel with a small cylindrical grinding bit and put it on speed 1 and barely touched it until the lip was gone. Then some 2000 grit sandpaper to buff it up and voila! Perfection! Hits like a champ.

Hi Fellow Vapers,

I just made my hole bigger on my no name cheap dripper and used a jackknife tip and just twisted the blade back and forth after

putting the point into the tiny air hole. Some of these dripper caps are made of Chrome Plated Brass---and are very soft.

Just an easy way to slowly make the hole bigger without using a drill bit. I have did this twice now on two different caps.

Just a thought...

The only thing limiting you is your imagination. I enjoy tinkering with stuff. My biggest tinker was making a mod with a DNA 40 board. Its nice to make something that kinds sucked it to something you enjoy. My thorey is I was not using as is anyway so if I mess it up Im not really losing it anyway .

I dont know what you have in the way of tools but I have one of theses and its great for tweaking attys and stuff.

Its a dremel drill press but its great for polishing or making a brushed finish its about 50$

@buzzzlove We have a milling machine that he uses, but I don't like messing with it because a) it's twitchy cuz it's so old and b) I'd have to excavate it from the black hole of his work bench.

I agree about the not using it, so it's not really a loss idea. I was using the RSST stock and just dealing with it because I liked the genesis style. Much better now though.

I like the idea of the Dremmel Dril Press--never seen one before.

I am using the RSST plastic cant see thru the side atomizer. I want to get a pryex tank for it someday.

If I had the money, I'd get one and a new dremel to go with it. Ours is a little old and decrepit.

If I was to buy another RSST though, I'm torn between another Pyrex or the v2. The new v2 is Pyrex as well but has an afc ring built in. Apparently they figured out most of us were modding the air hole. Fasttech has them listed for like $20.
