I've been trying Atty's for a couple of days and the bottom line for me is there just too much trouble. I can't see how you guys use them all the time. The only thing I see an Atty good for is testing flavors. I will give you that using an Atty is definitely a cleaner better tasting vape but I don't think there's that much of a difference with my Boge LR's. I tried but they are not for me. I get a more consistent vape from cartos....never a dry hit. I hope I don't start a war here....just my opinion.

I have no opinion on cartos but just curious...do you squonk at all?

My only atty cig size unit is novel, but also it seems (here starts the war) old school. That's not to say one method is better than the other, but definitely a differing approach, and cartomizers are for me, so much simpler.

Like most these days, I started out with prefilled, and the cost is was (and is) a non issue, considering the cost is way under 1/2 what cigs are here. What got me off of prefilled was the inability to find a flavor and vapor that I liked. I LOVED the ease of use...and still pick some up on occasion. Screw em on, run em down, screw em off.....done!

But lately I've been sold on LR Boge's and LR Bloogs, depending on the unit I use (510 or 808). I get at least 8 refills on em, and have gotten 18 before.

On the Atty's , the dripping and mess is not good when out and about...

But to each their own....((.and now comes the new "solid vape". A toothpaste like fluid is soon due out))

It's funny you ask....I'm in the middle of a little experiment. I just filled a carto and the bottle. Then I put a Empire drip shield over the carto and slid it all the way down as far as it can go. The catch cup has been bone dry and I haven't squonked it at all. I'm trying to see if I'll get through the whole bottle without squonking at all. We'll see....probably won't know until tomorrow. I would imagine the liquid I'm using might have an affect on this. It's 80 PG and 20 VG. I'm hoping the drip shield creates enough of a vacuum to autofeed. So far so good. I'll keep you updated. Using a Boge LR Carto.

I'm in the midst of choosing carts, attys, or both on my next refill.
I like $1 carts, but hate paying $7 for an atty. Especially when it dies in a few days.
I like carts for never going dry, but they seem to pick up a funky taste - especially if I mix flavors.
I've become pretty fast at filling bottom-feeder vials. Makes filling carts seem slow.

I'll probably buy a few of each...still don't have an absolute preference one way or the other.

The only atty I've ever tried came with my initial Blu e-cig purchase, more than a year ago. What that experience taught me was: 1) I could replace tobacco cigarettes with PV's; and 2) I wanted nothing to do with 3 piece PV"s. Been more than a year now. I'm more than 6 months without tobacco cigarettes. It ain't the only way, may not even be the best way, but, it's what has worked terribly well for me. And I smoked tobacco more than 52 years. JMHO

Cheers,

Don't worry. Pig just wandered into the REO forum without realizing it. He vapes Minis, not REOs.

You have a juice bottle and won't need toothpaste juice to keep an atty wet using a cartridge.

My opinion has always been vape whatever way you want as long as you stay away from cigarettes. That being said Atty's are the best vape experience out there period!!!!!!! I hate cartos and everything about them. I hope you ordered some 306 and give them a go you will love them trust me and if not I buy them from you. ;)

I too am a boge carto user. I find the draw lighter with a carto more than an atty and its more consistent in vapor production - but I'm not sure if its a fault of the user or the actual atty itself. I fill my carto well when I first install it, squonk lightly every 5 or so draws and i'm good. I had one carto give me great flavor and vapor for over 2 weeks and I've had one that died after a few puffs, but all in all its carto's all the way for me.

I mostly use Echo-E cartos, but they do seem to mute the flavors somewhat. Most of the time, the tradeoff between somewhat muted flavors and the ease of only having to refill once per day or so is fine by me.

That being said, there's one instance where I simply have to use an atty. There's a remarkable synergy between Top Vape's Key Lime Freeze and Cruzan Single-Barrel rum. A brandy snifter of Cruzan Single-Barrel rum taken neat and my Reo Grande plus atty and cart loaded with Key Lime Freeze and I'm in seventh heaven.

Has anyone else found synergies between specific foods/drinks and particular e-liquids?
