Image Problem

I just moved from a Win10 PC to a Win11 PC. Decided to drop MS Office and use WPS free version.

Now I can't insert new images into posts. They upload but then there's a message saying "The uploaded file was not an image as expected". I can't figure out what's wrong. My old images still work fine but new ones handled by WPS don't. These are photos I took on my phone today and uploaded to the PC. The new images are still .JPG, the only difference I can see is that they are handled by WPS instead of MS Office.

Any thoughts?

Update:

I managed to upload an image to a post. I changed the default photo handler from WPS Photos to MS Photo and re-uploaded the picture from my phone. Then I used Paint to change the format from .JPG to .png. At that point the image copied into my post. I always used jpg in the past. Is there a difference between .JPG and .jpg?

I'll figure it out eventually but for now I don't have a problem with posting pictures.
