Thought I should warn folks about the newly designed locking carto being slightly wider than the original F16 cartos.

I just received 2 of the Boge F16 v2 Pyrex tanks that comes with its own refilling drip tip. The cartos used in these (1 is included) are a new design: a 'locking' design. The problem is the new carto is a bit wider than the original F16 cartos - as such the included drip tip will NOT fit into the original F16 flanged cartos.

The original F16 cartos do appear to fit into the v2 tank. Although only time will tell if they're making a tight enough seal to prevent leaking - they appear to be tight enough but I've not tested them with juice yet since I'm still using the new carto.

The refilling drip tips I have from IBTanked do fit the original F16 perfectly so I can use them if the new v2 version carto isn't available.

The new drip tips are very nice and it's a shame they're too big to fit the original F16 cartos. They DO fit in a standard 510 carto but to use one of them sort of defeats the purpose of a 'locking' carto tank.

It has been generally known that the F16 cartos are slightly narrower than a regular carto. So Boge must be going back to the 'standard' width with this newer F16 v2.

I can only assume Boge intends to come out with replacement cartos with the new design eventually, but I've found no dealer who stocks them yet. Potential buyers of the new F16 v2 should be aware of this.
