I love the "Ooops" threads, they are some of the most useful, IMO. My latest boner - I re-use bottles from premade liquid, and I have several types. Unfortunately, the nozzle tips are almost the same, but not quite. So when mixing up several test batches, I really should make sure to keep each tip with its proper bottle. Otherwise, I may think everything is fine when i go to try some, and the nozzle tip stays in the cap instead of on the bottle. And of course I should look closely at what I am doing every time I fill a clearo, because turning a juice bottle upside down and squeezing without looking first can get pretty messy when the tip is not on the bottle. And of course if I had only intended to add a few drops into a clearo of other juice, that is wasted too.

Yeah, last night I was too lazy to make a pre-dilution of NF Ginger (a very strong flavor) and I went to put a drop in a large batch and the damned dropper was not on it. It just poured right on in and on me too. OMG! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that was the final ingredient of long list of others. Batch was ruined and I still smell like ginger. I have learned not to mix an idea while I am half asleep, but hopefully the lesson has finally set in. Just log in the recipe for the next day. Take it easy and methodical --- that's what works best for me.

When mixing your own DIY, it is important that you do not mistake Horchata Smooth for Acetyl Pyrazine.

220ml of juice gone.:(

OUCH! Sorry Capt'n....My biggest booboo has been forgetting to put a flavor bottle inside cap back on, unscrewing the top cap and squeezing it into a mix thinking it will be in drops...which has already been posted---I guess this happen frequently.

Was the rest of your batch Double RY4 by chance? Double Ouch...

Not a DIY blunder but just the other day I wanting to switch flavors in my tank because I didn't care for the flavor. Well, I forgot the I already switched the flavor out and dumped the juice I wanted in it out to refill it. So basically I wasted a tank of good juice. Luckily it wasn't a favorite and it was only 2 ml...

I've had large recipes with many ingredients and have often messed up the percentages. For example

3% Bavarian cream
1% brown sugar
10% vanilla custard
2% strawberry
2% graham cracker
.05% EM
.05% Marshmallow

So thinking I had the vanilla in my hands when I actually had EM in my hands I added 10% EM instead of vanilla. Boy that sucked.
