I have the K100 and its amazing! I love this little thing i know it's telescopic but i keep it in 18350 perfect for my stealth vaping needs. As for it being interchangeable with parts form the genuine empire, i saw a review on the K100 from Demitris(sorry if i spelt it wrong) the vaping greek on youtube and he puts an empire body sleeve on his K100 with no problem so im going to say yes it is indeed like an empire but at a much cheaper cost. Although it has it's differences. Not saying it is an exact replica but it's pretty close. The threads did need a little lubing but i just put a touch of chapstick on the threads of the top section and it's buttery smooth now! It's amazing in my opinion. It has a floating center pin so anything i put on it is able to sit flush on it with no problems! Don't get me wrong it has its pros and cons i won't deny that. But i mean come on a fully mechanical device that's pretty sturdy and looks pretty awesome has versatility with batteries and gives me a good vape and just for $35...no complaints over here at all!! :p I mean sure i would choose the empire over the K100 i mean who wouldn't right? But since those are pretty much darn near impossible to get your hands on..i would take up the K100 and vape the beast haha! Overall it's a pretty awesome little device in my opinion :)

Hey everyone! I hope you don't mind a n00b jumping into the thread :) I'm really interested in this k100 but I'm clueless, lol! I need something with more battery life for vacations with my hubby and I like the style of this and the price!! I'm wondering if it will work with a pyrex tank from High Desert Vapes so I can girl it up a bit? Right now I use a penstyle battery with a ce3 cartomizer, is there anything like this that I could use on a k100? I guess my main thing is, I wanna keep the lines.....like I said, I'm clueless :(

Yes u could use pyrex or any tanks actually...best to use it with single coil carto at 1.5-1.7 to max the power output... 2 ohms is acceptable but wont be a satisfying vape imo... also u can use any battery size from 18650 to 18350 hope that helps a bit...cheers! Anyways ill include some pics with the tanks not a fancy tank but u get the idea ;)

This is the tank I was thinking of getting and it says "The tank comes with the silicone grommets and 2 X Pre-punched duel hole Smoktech DCT LR cartomizers". Do you think this would work? Thanks for the pic and the help, I really appreciate it!!

Im pretty sure it will work since the contact will be on ur carto and the top of the device I dont see theres a problem fitting it there... also I love the look of that tank looks beefier and hungry for juice! ;)

VapinGreek did a video on the k100 and actually swapped an authentic empire body with the k100 telescoping top. It threaded perfectly. Point being that it appears to be on the level of quality as the Empire. This is speculation as I do not yet own one, nor seen an Empire in person. It's a really good video though its worth a watch.
I don't know if I can post a link so mod please remove if inappropriate. The KEcig K100 (Empire Clone) - YouTube. Either way I have been eyeballing them for awhile. They look good. I may get one if Hoosier get them back in stock.

how does k100 compare to something like the the natural or ccts? looking to grab a beginner mechanical since all high ends are unavailable.

voltage drop is major on the natural and I tried the CCTS before the k100 and did not like how the tubes tightened up yet were loose and sensitive to unraveling/untwisting itself. On the K100 you can tighten up against the battery really firm making the device(inner & outer tubes) feel more solid and fire nice and consistent with the bottom button. I suppose this may be because of the addition of the plastic insulator the k100 use but either way I LOVE the k100. It has become my take to work/ daily mod. Hits like a champ and at the price cannot be beat.

n00b to mechanical mods. What are voltage drops and how does it affect your vape? Also, why are you usin on top of your k100?
