Morandir states,
"IMREN (formerly MNKE)- Top 10% are available to consumers, their top 5% are reserved for car companies only. Since IMREN bought out MNKE can no longer call them (MNKE) a top cell manufacturer. Not because they are no longer making good batteries, but because the bare cells sold to the public are grossly over inflated when it comes to their amp ratings." A Beginner’s Guide to Lithium Batteries, Mind of Morandir

Mooch's bench tests confirm that IMREN over-rates their battery specs, whether or not IMREN makes their own batteries or re-wraps others.

Imren Green 30A 3500mAh 18650
The green 30A 3500mAh Imren is a 10A battery!
Based on the above evidence, there are far better choices available to us. As Mooch has said about all vaping batteries on the market:

"...there are none with a true continuous rating over 30A.

...there are none rated at 3000mAh with a true continuous rating over 20A.

...there are none rated over-3000mAh with a true continuous rating over 10A.

...pulse or battery company "max" ratings are useless and can't be used to compare batteries."

came across them actually at a few canuck sites, and they weren't on the handy page bad loves to post, so thought I would ask. I'm having a bit of a struggle finding a canuck vendor selling above 20a batteries that are not rewraps.
Samsung, LG, or Sony (and possible Panasonic for lower discharge currents). Those are your choices for original, not rewrapped batteries.

I know... the point was I'm seeing these and they're not on the usual stuff posted for batteries so I was curious if they were a rewrap. I know that lg etc are good batteries, I'm not finding anything better(or even other brands beyond lg for the most part other than efest) than the lg browns, which limits my builds for a single battery mod. batteries are being refused transport by several companies across borders.

Check Mooch's lists. True battery amp ratings are to be found there. There are very few true 30 amp batteries and you're unlikely to find anything but original ones with that kind of a cdr.
