I will be getting a Vamo real soon and have decided on this battery

Orbtronic - Panasonic CGR18650CH With Top Button, 2250mAh IMR High Drain 18650 Battery Cell-Made in Japan

And this charger http://www.orbtronic.com/batteries-...tellicharger-universal-battery-charger-sysmax

It seems that AW IMRs are the standard for a lot of mod users.
What I wanted to know is:
1) What is the difference between say, an AW IMR and a hybrid IMR?
2) Is the hybrid IMR even safer chemistry than the regular IMR?

The Vamo will be my first mod and I want to be sure that I am being super safe.
It never occurred to me that I would ever have to use a charger for actual batts independant of the unit they were used for..all the batts that I have ever used for stuff were throwaways for the exception of cell phones /laptops.
I have a lipo bag for my eGo batts but I think I will have to get a bigger one, lol

I have heard that some people have charged thier batts in a cookie tin with holes punched in them (?)

I have an old dutch oven that I do not use anymore..I thought that I would charge them in there :p with the lipo bag

Well in their literature Panasonic claims that their CGR18650CH is as safe as a LiMn2O4 (IMR) battery.

Have you ever seen how the LiPo bags are actually used?

Only the batteries are in the bag. Chargers like almost all electrical devices will have various vents to help dissipate the heat that is generated. Somehow sealing up a charger in an insulated bag makes no real sense to me.
