In an Arby's

So I finish my sandwich and see that the 2 managers on duty standing next to the back door-still IN the building- smoking, so I think that I could reasonably get away with using it and maybe start a conversation with them. I am always looking for people to convert =)

On our way out, the manager catches my eye just as I am exhaling a rather large cloud and this is the conversation that followed:

"Darlin', [I am in Texas mind you] you cannot light that in here"

"Sir, there is nothing lit" I touch the end on my 901 as proof

"No matter, you cannot smoke in the building dear"

"There is no smoke, only water vapor"

"If the City sees you doing that in here, they would have my .... There is no smoking within 20 feet of any door of the building."

At that point, my husband got uncomfortable -he hates confrontation- so I left it at that and we went home.

If I were alone, I would have asked him why I saw him smoking in the fracking building! I would have also explained the product, but he seemed not to even want to listen to me at all.

I think I will print up little business cards with info on what e-smoking is on one side and Steve's website info on the other. That would have been the perfect opportunity to use it since he did not want to listen to a damn word I said.

Not to hijack the thread totally, but there seem to be a lot of us Texans in this forum. I'm going to start a Texans sound off post. Maybe we can all meet up and esmoke in some bar and watch them sweat!

i have already created cards up here for that reason Kaston. In the future you might want to inform the manager before you vape. Even if they so No after wards.. it is there establishment and can have the final word. think of this as how the computer world was first looked at ... Anyone who didnt knwo anything about computers said bad things and didnt want to take the time to understand them... and those that did ... well most likely they are the ones fixing your PC now....LOL.... So just give it time and understanding.. this is a new thing 90% of the people out there will not grasp.. I just helped a woman who has been smoking for 40 years switch to ecig it took 2 weeks for her to understand it.. but she is not smoking analogs anymore.

@j_royalll: Great Idea! There was an actual Irish pub down off of magnolia st in downtown ft. worth that I used to go to all the time till I got pregnant. I've been wanting to go back there (if it's still there).

Back on topic. My husband is the reverse of yours. I'm usually the one going "oh no, not again" and ducking for cover. However,if I was in your shoes I might not have been so discrete. I would have called Arbys corporate and filed a complaint on them. Vaping might merely annoy some people, but actually smoking those toxins around others can cause asthma attacks or worse.
