Im a noob to all this stuff.
I helped my buddy make a brick pizza oven. We used refractory cement. Stuff was cheap. Its basically high temperature cement. Withstand 2000 degrees (either C or F). It was an easy processes. for custom parts, we took the cement and put it in cast clay we designed. then baked it in the oven for a couple hours. I dont know what makes up the BD13 or the F2000. but the mix was basically stone and water then bake. It was porous. So the outside of the oven needed to be treated to make it water tight. Im guessing the mix was safe since he's cooking food in it.
It would be easy to make a thousand wicks made of this stuff.
easy on the replies please.
