I just recieved my order today FABULOUS! In addition to the amazing assortment I bought, they also included some nice bonus cartos too! I let my aunt try it and she ordered her ultimate kit tonight!!! I was amazed watching her face and then she said 'This is definitely something I could do' I am so happy to have already passed on some good knowledge(what I have) and turn her on to a healthier alternative to her 2-3 pack a day habit!

Now a few small questions...can I just get the liquid to refill these cartos? How do I do that if I can? I have one more battery(diamond series) and 15 more prefilled and 2 bottles of liquid(I added to my aunts cart). Should I get more batteries? I am worried about not having enough batteries and falling back to analogs...yes, tomorrow will be a first full day without those stinky things!

Well, if you only have the 1 battery you might have a problem. Don't stress though, if you need to have a cigarette while you battery is recharging, have one.

So here's what we need to know to get you squared away. List all the stuff you have, so far I got 1 battery, 15 pre-fills, 2-bottle of liquid (30ml or 5ml).........anything else?

I thought If I just had one more battery...(after the two that came with my kit) then I would be set. I've been vaping about 6 months now and I have 5 standard batteries and a PT! Refilling is an art....its been a long road and I still don't have it right but I am getting better!

advice? try the juice in a 5ml bottle first so you can know you like it before investing more $$

Whoa...whoa...you're cool, you're cool! No need to spend any more money you have everything you need for now!

Your auto reg batteries will last about 2-3 hours each with moderate vaping and they take about 2 hours to recharge so you are good there. A cartomizer will last generally last 3-4 hours of moderate vaping, chain vaping maybe 1.5 to 2 hours.

Now, you have a USB Passthrough and it sound like a 12v USB adapter for your so your covered at home or work (if allowed to vape) and in your car.

35 Cartomizers will last you awhile, when you get down to 10 order more.

Between you 2 auto reg batts and your Diamond series you will be for batteries. What size diamond series did you get?

As for refilling your cartomizers with liquid, it's extremely easy....but that is a little horse before the cart for now. I am going to put together a You-Tube to show how it's done without a syringe or using the condom method.....best of all without spilling a drop.

Definitely order 2 xls -my batteries all seem to die at same time. I have 6 batteries and works well. Plus If you break one, or lend one out to someone who wants to try it, you are still covered. Watch for the sales. V4l is very generous with them and have them often.

Hi GowsGirl. Congratulations to you and your Auntie! I have four of V4L's XL batteries and I keep them in rotation between charge/use. Days when I get into a vaping jag, I'm happy to have all of them! Today is one of those days LOL.

Refilling the cartos is so very, very, very, very (can't express this enough) easy to do. My preference is to remove the carto from the battery, then remove the little white mouth-piece cap and drop juice onto the filler until it looks like gooy (for lack of a better word). I just learned how to do this, and if I can anyone can! Someone here will give you excellent details & instructions, I'm sure. It is just so easy to do, tho.

Now I have to go and oogle the pretty new batts and put together a wish list *grin* There's no such thing as too many batteries. And V4L has so many pretty colours. A girl could have one to coordinate with every outfit. Hmmm,wonder if V4L could get animal print...they have a camo =}.

Nice bunch of stuff you got, you're definately gonna be OK. I like to have two PT's when possible. I don't think you can ever have too much stuff. If I were even remotely wealthy ... omg ... LOOK OUT! I'd have a PT beside each chair and one in the bathroom. lol I'd have 100 batteries times 100. Gallons of e-juice.

And new socks, I need a pair of new socks. Double knit.

Snowdragon- I ordered all regular size, so maybe I should get a couple XL then? They just don't fit the PCC and I am out and about often A video would be sweet and truly helpful...plus, I like not wasting any with my lack of hand eye coordination (Though my hand to mouth coordination is AMAZING!)

On refilling.....first things first...are the 2 bottles of liquid the same flavors as some of your pre-filled Cartomizers?

Refilling is very easy, simply remove the white rubber stopper from the Cartomizer, you can use your fingernails, toothpick or a paper clip. Simply hold the cartomizer at 70 degree angle and apply the droplets on the inside of the cartomizer casing allowing the liquid to absorb into the polyfill material.

The Cartomizer basically has 4 items inside of it: Polyfill Material which surrounds the wick and absorbs the liquid. An atomizer which is the heating element wire, a cloth wick which surrounds the atomizer, and an air tube which extends from the battery hole and rises about 5/16th of inch or just about to the top of your flavor lettering on a pre-filled Cartomizer.

In-use Cartomizers can be topped off multiple times, that is to say once the flavor or vapor starts to fade you can add 8-10 drops into the cartomizer for further use. After multiple uses resin will build up on the base of the cartomizer surrounding the outside air tube, when that happens vapor production will be affected by 80%, you may notice the Cartomizer becomes more difficult to draw off of.....that Cartomizer will need to be cleaned.

Once you get your bottles of juice, just post up that you got them and we'll help you with the rest.

Now, since we are talking about stuff that you don't even have yet allow me to take a moment and suggest a few things.

First of all, keep all of your used cartomizers, there are very easy and effective way to wash them out, remove the old flavorings are re-use them (30) mulitple times. I would suggest at some point that you buy 3-4 Drip Tips. Cartomizer tend to get hot when chain vaping or on Passthroughs, the Drip Tips will absorb the heat instead of your lips, give you a much better draw, and will be very convenient when the day comes that you start juicing full-time instead using pre-filled Cartos.

Blank Cartomizers: V4L sells blank cartomizers, there are 2 types Wow & Premium Cool Cartos. Wow Cartomizers have a low resistance atomizer which makes them produce a warmer vapor, however they tend to heat up. Premium Cool Cartos vape a little cooler, last a little longer because they are 1/16th of inch longer (More juice) do not draw as much energy from your batteries as a Wow Cartomizer, and work better on your Passthrough because they do not heat up as much as a Wow Cartomizer would.

Passthroughs: Never leave your P/t plugged into your computer or 12v/adapter unless you are using it. For instance don't leave in your computer overnight....there have been cases where they have heated up on their own....like burning melting heating up. Like all mass produced items some have shorter lifespans that others, but those are in the minority. I have 2 that I use all the time, 1 is 2 months old and the other is 6 months old, both of them work great.

Your P/t can be your best friend, no recharging, no battery fade and every vape is bliss because you are vaping at 5v instead of the 3.7v which you have with portable batteries.

Now I have all 3 sizes in both manual and auto. Short batts are great for stealth vaping and handy when you just want to keep it in a pocket. Both regular & short batts are 280mAH and will last 1-2 hours with chain-vaping and 2-3 hours with moderate vaping. XL batts are 380mAH and will last 4-5 hours with moderate vaping and 2-3 hours with "look it's my new pacifier" chain vaping.

I think you will really enjoy your regular sized batteries, they are great. Some people will say they prefer XL's because they last longer, while others find them too long and not preferrable because they don't work with their pcc. (too long)

It's easy to get carried away spending money, I would slow down a little, your good on equipment for now.

SnowDragon- That was a great informational post! Good to know about the PT too. So do I 'need' blank cartos or can I work with the ones that were prefilled easily enough? Refilling sounds very easy and far more economical! I think I will stop ordering for now until the next sale which should be before I run out of supplies As for the XL's..I am hesitant right now because I truly love this size , but it may be because I just stopped the analogs and it is what I am used to?!
And does everyone vape more than they smoked?


I have to say that waking up this morning and vaping Smilin' Special Menthol 11mg is actually doing the trick so far. I think I am more addicted to the act of smoking than anything else! I cannot wait to have my palate back and my sense of smell. My 5 year old is loving that I smell like mint and coffee this morning rather than 'that stinky stuff'
Those of you with kids..are they fascinated by your e-cig? I have explained that it is a do not touch item and he understands, but still stares right now

Ah yes, the most challenging time ever when quitting smoking..... the first couple of mornings. Hang in there gowsgirl you can do this! There is no doubt that years of patterning and programming are hard to break. I smoked 1.5 packs a day for 30 years and loved everything about smoking, except that it might kill me.

You don't necessarily need to buy blanks, what kind of juice did you order and what pre-filled flavors do you have? I think waiting for the next sale to come along would be a savvy move on your part. XL's are cool, but they are long which is the most common complaint I hear from those that don't use them. How long? Well, imagine having one of your standard batteries except with 2 Cartos attached to it. Short batteries are pretty cool too, they pack a punch but are truly the familiar size of a cigarette. In any case you will build a huge selection of batteries over time, we all do.

I still have 2 in the nest at double and triple the age or yours. They love the fact that the old man doesn't smoke anymore. The first couple of months most of us tend to chain-vape often referred to as the "pacifier period". You will soon discover that a Carto is not the same as a full pack of cigarettes, more like half a pack of cigarettes. There are different nicotine absorbtion rate between vaping and smoking as well. So you actually will need to vape more often than having a smoke to compensate for the nicotine.

Just remember vaping will dehydrate you, causing dry skin and scalp so make sure to drink lots of water through out the day. This has a side benefit of helping to flush your system out since a portion of your withdrawal is the chemical additives outside of the nicotine. You may experience a little sensitivity of the gums, extremely vivid dreams, and if you make it to week 3 or 4 you might cough up some not so pretty stuff as your lungs start expelling some tar. After 2 months all of that will pass, except for the occasional 30 minute hard core craving and the vivid dreams.

Anyways, let me know about the flavor you have and the juice you ordered.

Snowdragon- I bought 1 Vanilla 30ml and 1 Smilin 30ml both in 8mg. I have 8 cartos of Smilin' and 5 of Vanilla....then like 40 others of assortment..lol. I usually do drink a ton of water so that shouldn't be a problem, but good to know for my aunt. So far so good and the day is halfway up! I have a full pack of analogs sitting on the microwave, but have no desire to light 'the stink'

By matching your bottles of juice with your prefilled cartos you are in great shape. Between your pre-fills, topping off, and washing your cartomizers and refilling them you will be good for well over a month or so.

Just remember, the second those prefilled cartos start to lose their vapor production or the flavor changes, set them aside. You want to avoid vaping them down so much that they taste burnt. At that point any dry spot on the wick may singe, once that happens it doesn't matter how many times you wash them the flavor will be compromised.

Hope things are still going strong, I remember counting the hours too!
