I started vaping 8 days ago, but I've still been smoking analogs here and there. I've reduced my analog use from about 30 a day to less than 10 a day, and I swear I can already see the differences. To me it seems like my hair has been softer, shinier & healthier looking, and it really seems like my complexion has improved quite a bit. Is it just in my head or do the changes surface this quickly??

I wouldn't doubt that. It could be that your senses are just improving, or it could be that your health is improving that quickly. Could also be the placebo effect. The changes i noticed quickly were energy levels throughout the day (no more drowsy fatigue), deeper sleep, and mental energy was back also. And the smell obviously. Once you hit 0cigs and you're strictly vaping, you, your room, your clothes, and your car will smell like whatever flavor you're vaping instead of thick nasty smoke stench. Keep it up, aim for 0 cigs!!!

20 years of smoking and i went to zero a day after checking the mail 28 days ago. The thing I notice more than anything is my sense of taste and smell, it's really crazy how deadened those two things are when you're a smoker. I LOVE beer and coffee and holy crap do both things taste so much better. Beer especially, I frequent a brew pub in town that makes my favourite IPA and I was quite taken back by the first pint I had after about 8 days off cigarettes.

My sentiments exactly! Just enjoy the benefits!

I've recently gotten a few friends to switch over to ecigs. They all asked me in the beginning if I really thought they were better for me than smoking analogs. I couldn't even describe it to them, all I told them was that you just feel "better" and the longer i've been off analogs the "better" I have felt.

life changes quick when you stop smoking analogs, youll start to get more active, food will taste alot better, people wont be repulsed by your smell, youll get more money for your car when trading it in, youll save a lot of money(assuming you dont get hooked on buying a new pv every week) hair will be softer and smell better, nails will no longer be yellow, youll find your more productive when your not thinking about going outside for your next smoke every 15 minutes. and you wont have to spit like a trucker every few minutes from all the brown tar you cough up.

Thanks, everyone! I plan on eventually quitting completely but probably not until I find that perfect ecig and that perfect juice! I'm definitely enjoying it and I'm not too worried about the few analogs I've been smoking, 5-10 has got to be WAY better than 25-30+!

It is indeed much better!

FYI, you'll never find that perfect e-cig; seems like every day something new and "better" is being introduced.

But it's fun! Good luck again and congratulations. Quitting a pack a day is a good thing! :toast:

I've only switched for three days now and the things you are experiencing are real, my facial skin is softer and relaxed, my hair, (I had to wash it twice today to get the stink out), is lighter and softer. Some people respond quickly to healthy changes. Good luck to you and keep up the Good Vaping!

Keep at it-last week I was topping out at 8 analogs a day and I felt like I was cheating myself, but for the last four days I've stuck to no more than 4 a day. I've been pulling them out of the pack a while beforehand to get it kind of stale to make it taste even nastier. Today actually I've put two out half way and came back to them later when they were even nastier. Hopefully using this method I can work down to no more than 2 a day or even quit completely before the weekend. Good luck, try these things, they're just little tricks have been helping me, hopefully they can help you or somebody else.

I got some taste back.. not much of a difference.
But I can smell a stain on my pants now :glare: literally.
if I drop a freaking drip of mustard on my pants I smell it all day now. not cool.

Dehydration is huge with vaping and yeah.. You get dandruff (i did at least) and yup..
My face broke out when I 1st quit, and I still get small break outs occasionally.
Not all peaches and cream but uhh, my lungs are hopefully better off.

Thanks, and good luck to you also! I had no intention of quitting whatsoever... Then my friend dropped this off last week because she was switching to an eGo, and I've been obsessed with learning about the vape world since that day! I'm not going to push myself like crazy to quit, but I'd definitely be happy with getting to under 5 analogs a day and maybe quitting completely slowly, by the end of 2013!
