When I first started vaping I used menthol as that's what I used to smoke. But I've since discovered a liking for some fruity flavours too.

Problem I find is that most fruity flavours are too sweet so I've been buying a fruity flavour liquid, mixing it with menthol to get the best of both worlds

Example - totally wicked ice menthol mixed with totally wicked tuti fruity or strawberry.

Ice menthol on its own is really nice and fresh with a good throat hit, but when mixed with fruit the menthol is quite muted and there's a lack of vapour and throat hit.

What's the best way round this?
I'm after a nice fruity / menthol flavour with a decent throat hit. It seems difficult to get a good balance between the 2

Could it be the PG / VG ratio? I was thinking about trying to mix my own maybe?

All help much appreciated

You seem up to mixing your own. Basic fruity flavorings and menthol is fairly simple & you'll save a lot of money. I'm not an expert but I can make some pretty good fruity flavors. Even if you don't make them all, you'll still save money and always have liquid available.

Head to the DIY section if you want to get started with DIY-

Visit the UK forum for info -

Not saying TW is bad, but just for more options.

If you're not up for it yet, see if you can order from a supplier that allows extra flavor shots or lets you chose the PG/VG ratio.

More throat hit- more PG
More vapor- more VG

If the liquid is something a little too sweet- I have a bottle of something called Bitter Wizard (I think Liberty Flights sells this) and that helps with too much sweetness.

You could even get a bottle of flavoring and add a drop or two to your existing liquid. Not too much though because that has the same effect as too little flavoring.

I vape fruity flavors with menthol.

It's hard to find fruit that's not super sweet. I mostly DIY but I have found a few suppliers that aren't too sweet.
Check out the PIF-UK site (Pay it Forward). Maybe you can trade liquids with someone. You can get a sample of other suppliers that way without having to order from them.

Think I'm getting the whole mixing thing now, apart from one major confusion

When looking at what I need to get me going I see some websites saying the nicotine base can be purchased PG or VG.

I was under the impression that the nicotine base was JUST nicotine and then you diluted it with PG or VG?
Is it a case that the nicotine comes pre diluted to bulk it up with PG or VG?
