I would read through the tank section of the forum. There are alot of good discussions/opinions. After understanding both of these delivery systems, you will probably just have to try them both for yourself to find out which one you will prefer. I don't think this is something anyone elsebut you can decide.:)

What battery device are you currently using, and what delivery system are you using on it?

I'm not a big fan of any string-wicked delivery system like a clearomizer or vivi nova tank, in fact I've given away my vivi nova tanks to beginning vapors because I stopped using them, but they are still fine for beginners because they are so easy to use. I just have never been impressed with their flavor production compared to a cartotank.

I have my theories on why this is so. A string wick system only has 2-4 strings carrying the juice (flavor) to the heating element. That is a very small surface area.

A cartomizer, however, has ten-fold the amount of surface area surrounding the heating coil, allowing for much more juice (flavor) to be vaporized by the heating element. A properly set up cartotank allows continuous supply of juice to the cartomizer so that it never dries out which could result in dry or burnt hits.

Just from personal experience I'd say that a clearo is definitely easier to use and is usually what I tell all my friends just getting into vaping use. However I've found that every single clearo I've used doesn't really work for me all that great about a week into it or so. Dry burns, low vapor production and diminished taste somehow always seem to happen to me at just about the week mark. I've gone and cleaned them out and they work again cool afterwards but that begins to get irritating after awhile so I tried out carto/tank combos and since then I couldn't be happier. Overall its just a better vaping experience for me. At first though I will say that filling and refilling was the biggest pain in the ... but once you've got that down it's just great. Also replacing a carto is much cheaper at least for me then buying a new atty. Now I just need to get a hold of a lavatank and I'll be golden haha. Hope my input helped

Trying to decide between the two!

To everyone interested in, or currently using a cartotank, I would like to suggest they read my blog articles that you can find by clicking on the link under my avatar. I've worked very hard to collect a lot of useful information concerning tanks and cartomizers and put it in one place for all to be able to reference.
