Incognito vaping?

Hey

New here, but been vaping for nearly a year. Going to be doing a bit of travelling in a few months and was thinking about getting a little 100% PG to limit the amount of vapor produced in sensitive areas, such as airports and on the plane. Would that produce very little vapor? I usually use 50:50 with my Vision Spinner and Kanger T3s. I have no problem using this in bars and general public areas, but just don't want to draw attention to myself if it's not necessary. Any issues with 100% PG?

Cheers

Hi El Murko and welcome to ECF! Yes, a high PG juice will make less vapor. Holding it in for a while before exhaling will reduce it even more. You also don't have to go 100% PG. 80/20 will be almost as stealth as 100%.

Some people have problems with too much PG. It bothers me a bit, specially if I vape a lot for a day. Gives me a slight sore throat and a cough. Try it beofre you go away so you know how you react to it.

Also, be VERY careful vaping on a plane. I really do not recommend this. If anyone notices any vapor and thinks it is smoke from a fire in an aircraft, things can get bad quickly.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

I think the only safe place to vape on a plane is the toilets :)

Be sure to blow down and away from the sensor, but yeah, that's the place to have a 4-5 draw session. I usually luck out and sit next to my wife or find out if the person next to me is cool.

I have been vaping on the train in the UK which isnt strictly allowed...however I find that taking short vapes and just holding the vapour in till it disappears works a treat! :)

+ 1 on this method. I use 60% VG..I like the clouds, but when I want to be stealthy, I do what I call the Double - Triple Inhale.... I inhale, hold inhale again , and inhale again.....then let it out downward and slowly. This not only is very stealthy as no clouds come out, but you get a little Buzz while your at it. :2cool:

Do you think it would set off the sensor? I'm interested to know, although I wouldn't dare try to find out!

So I've read, so that's how I do it. Supposedly these sensors measure particles. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I wouldn't try vaping on a plane, just not worth it. You can make up for it vaping in the terminal and that right there is priceless! As for the detectors in places, you just never know. I stealth vaped in a hospital bathroom (nonvape friendly hospital) and did the inhale, hold it and inhale again thing, and even with a minimal amount of vapor coming out on the exhale that damn smoke detector made a tiny little audible beep and I almost had a heart attack thinking things were now about to get crazy. Nothing did, but I never heard that detector make any little beep sound before. There are smoke detectors and particle detectors, my guess is hospitals and airplanes have the particle detectors but I'm not an expert, just my 2 cents.
