Hi guys. Well, after hearing all this ranting and raving about them there rios things, curiosity got the best of me so I ordered one along with an RM2. I'm really excited to get it, going to be a long few days waiting on the mail. Like many, my path was quitting analogs, ego starter kit, then vamo v5, mvp 2.0, provari and KFL+, now I'm here. I'm hoping that this ends my search for the perfect vape

So, now that I've got one headed my way, I have a few questions:

1) After moving to a KFL+, I noticed the 18mg juice was way to strong for me, as it seemed to deliver much more than the protanks. So I went to 12, which os good most of the time, but I even have some 6 that I'll mix in from time to time. Did you guys find you needed to go down on nic level when you went to BF style mods?

2) I've never done sub ohm. In my KFL+, I tend to like about a 1.8 - 2.0 build using 28g kanthal and organic cotton. Much lower and it looses flavor and burns my wicks. I'm assuming, being a mechanical, I'm going to need to go lower with the build. Any suggestions of where to start? I know enough to use an ohms law calculator, and decent AW high drain batteries, etc. I have no desire to cloud chase, mainly interested in flavor. What's a good starting point?

3) How do you know when to replace batteries? I've read going below 3v will trash the battery or worse.

Thanks guys!

Welcome and congratulations on your incoming REO.

1) After moving to a KFL+, I noticed the 18mg juice was way to strong for me, as it seemed to deliver much more than the protanks. I believe most of us had to drop out nic level a bit. It looks like you have a good selection so that you can find what works for you.

2) I've never done sub ohm. In my KFL+, I tend to like about a 1.8 - 2.0 build using 28g kanthal and organic cotton. Much lower and it looses flavor and burns my wicks. MY coils are all 1.1ohm. You do not have to sub-ohm with the REO even though it will handle it. There are some that go very low and there are some that vape in the same range as what you like. The REO is so versatile and each individual can choose what works for them.

3) How do you know when to replace batteries? I've read going below 3v will trash the battery or worse.
You will know….You will be getting week hits, It may take you longer to get a puff and/or you juice flavor will change. A good indicator for me is my juice taste different.

Good luck

Welcome! I believe you will have found the last device you will need, except for more of them! To answer your questions, before Reo, I was using 18mg nic. I dropped to 12 and am finding it's still strong, so I am diluting my juices to bring them down closer to 6-9. The Reos hit harder and the small chamber of the rm2 really brings out the flavor and strength of the vapor.

You might want to start in the 1.5 range or so. You can go down or up to suit your vaping style. I was sub ohming at .5 on my Nemesis clone with an IGO dripper, but with the Reos, I go .7-.9. I accidently made a .5 on one of mine, and it's too much for me. I'm going to redo it later today.

I use VTC5 batteries or AW IMR 18650s and even after a whole day at work running coils less than 1 Ω, my batteries are still at 3.8-4v. So, using one Reo, depending on your vaping habits, the battery may last all day until you get home. I've never run a battery below 3.65, and that was after a couple of days. You can tell though, the vapor will diminish. It will take time to develop your taste, then you'll tell. Best is just to take them out and replace and charge each day.

Congrats and your purchase and your decision to step up to the best! We look forward to pics when you get it.

Okay my questions are. What is the meaning of life? What are the winning numbers for the mega millions for tonight? .......Oh wait you mean you had questions for us. Well all I can say is yeah what those guys said.

Sorry Raynman, I realize my questions are rudimentary. I certainly don't want to wear out my welcome.

Jklotz, it's Rmaximacastor927 here just to let you know you will never wear out your welcome here with questions but us freaks like to joke around sometimes (like my assumption that klotz was the two stroke oil from back in the day :)

We dig questions so keep em comin. Yours have received some great answers so all I can add is I never let my batteries get below 3.7. You'll begin to feel when the power is starting to wane and my guess that at the resistance you'll be vaping (similar to mine) you'll prolly get about 3 ml before you just change out of habit (not even coming close to 3.7).

Oh and welcome / congrats.

Oh and I think the reason there's so much enthusiasm here with questions and new members is because our vape is so damn simple, reliable and consistent that we have all this extra time to read and type :)

I hope I didn't offend you. I just kid like that. You'll never wear out your welcome here we love questions. Everyone else purdy much answered your question the way I would so I thought I'd throw in an attempt at humor. Maybe it didn't work so well but it's all good my friend. But if you do have those numbers......

Congrats and welcome to Reoville. We're a friendly bunch. Your questions have been pretty well answered. I personally vape at about 1.2 to 1.4 ohms. Building on the RM2 is similar to a KFL in that you don't want too much wick. I'm really enjoying the vape from the RM2. Battery drop off will tell you when it's time to switch them out. I'm using Panasonics in mine and one 18650 lasts me all day. I'm usually at 3.8v when I replace it. It may dip down to 3.7 but I try to not go below that in my mechs.

I have a question though. Which Reo did you get?

Welcome first of all!

And another "tell" for battery changing is when the bottle is a little less than half full.Sometimes I take it out and "meter" it and sometimes i just change it when the battery's a little past half empty...depending on how lazy i am that day...
