Over the last few months, I've ordered a TON of liquids from MBV. Overall, it has been a pretty good experience. The thing that drives me crazy is the inconsistencies, and I was wondering if anyone had an explanation for this.

I've been ordering all my juices at 50/50 PG/VG with 2 flavor shots. I vape at 12mg nicotine, but sometimes I get 2 bottles 18mg and 0mg so I can adjust the amount of nicotine I want.

One thing that I don't get is the difference in vapor, throat hit and flavor for all of these. For the vapor, although all my juices are 50/50, some of them produce very little vape and some of them produce huge clouds. I don't get this, since it is 50/50? And the bigger problem is the throat hit. I have some juices I can barely vape because it hits the throat so hard. Others are so smooth that I have to vape it constantly to get any type of relief for my nicotine cravings. The last one is flavor. I understand that some will be stronger than others, but I noticed that even when I get the same bottle of a certain flavor, it sometimes tastes different. This is taking into consideration for steeping time for all the flavors.

Also, the nicotine is at the same level at 12mg. If I were to lower/higher it, should there be any difference in flavor, vapor, or throat hit? My guess is that if I were to get a 24mg bottle, it should hit harder?

Your replies are greatly appreciated! TIA!

Ive noticed the same thing while on deployment. Luckily I stayed true and didnt smoke some nails. I have about 7 bottles 30ml or less that either have such a light flavor I cant vape them, or throat hit so strong its like getting a yoga flame straight to my throat. All I did to remedy this was to get juice from a different vendor. Which sucks cause MBV is such a great price.

Other than a new vendor I dont have any suggestions or tips for you.

All 12-6mg nicotine, steeped for 1.5 months, using Itaste mvp, and iclear 30's. Voltage at 3.3-4.2. Maybe its my gear im not sure tho.

Nicotine provides 90% of throat hit. PG allows more of it to come through, VG mutes it to a degree.

Inconsistency is usually due to the "head" (clearo/carto/atty) you are vaping with and sometimes the PV itself if it is an unregulated fixed power model.

Clearos (protank, etc) are by far the most hassle and inconsistent of the vaping heads. Cartos when primed properly are the most consistent and least hassle. A good glass carto-tank (Phiniac or IBTanked) are the best options for consistency, throat hit and no hassle.

Sorry to hear. I've had the same experience at MBV and think the mixers are making mistakes... maybe reversing the PG/VG percentages or the new batch of flavoring they bought switches PG/VG content compared to their last ordered batch.... only explanation I can come up with. PG is what lends TH plus the nic level of course. I decided it would serve me better to buy juices that cost more. I'm no snob when it comes to juice prices but I want a good, consistent, vape. I buy most of mine at Mountain Vapor. They're consistent and strong enough to add more PG or VG to lower nic as I want and still have enough flavor. I also like being able to vape right out of the mailbox. The only drawback for me is they only come 50/50 or 100% VG is specially ordered. 50% is too much VG for me so I always have to dilute with PG.

Edit: Price tip... if you decide to go with a more expensive juice, check for large sizes. Once you find the flavor you like buying smallest, next time you can order the big size and save money. At Mountain Vapor for instance, the smallest runs over a dollar per ml for the small but when you settle on your ADV and buy the 4oz size, it comes out 32 cents per ml. Unfortunately, this is how I found the inconsistencty in MBV juice. I liked the small I bought so ordered the bigger size and it didn't even taste like the same juice.

Thanks for the replies.

Well, that's a shame that the juices can't be consistent. I understand that MBV has great prices, but if it is inconsistent, then I'd rather pay a bit more and get the juices elsewhere :/

And since I get 50/50 on all juices, I'm not sure how they can mix it up?? Maybe they're giving me 18 or 24mg instead of 12mg??

Anyhow, a bit disappointing to find this out.

Unfortunately, this is how I found the inconsistencty in MBV juice. I liked the small I bought so ordered the bigger size and it didn't even taste like the same juice.

I am having the EXACT same issue with MBV. I was ordering from them exclusively. The inconsistencies caused me to branch out and start trying other vendors...which I guess is a good thing because it's how I found Alice in Vapeland.

My issues with inconsistency were with 2 particular juices: Black Clove and Cinnamon Roll. Man, the first small 15ml bottles I ordered were so amazing, so I bough 50ml bottles next time. The Black Clove dries my throat out and has barely a hit, not to mention the flavor is nothing compared to the first bottle. Not at all. It's already a dark juice to begin with, but after just a little bit of vaping on a non-variable voltage battery, the juices gets almost black. Gross. Cinnamon Roll now has a horrible metallic/chemical taste to it. I have been steeping that one for about 6 weeks with no improvement.

They have both been sitting with caps off for several days now with shaking in between. If it's not better by the weekend, they are going in my reject drawer, only to be vaped in the most dire of circumstances...such as the end of the world.

I am paying more for AiV juices, but they are so tasty. I just placed my 2nd order and hoping it will pass the consistency test, but from what others have written on here about her juices, I don't think I will have any issues.

Branch out from MtBaker. If you find a good Black Clove flavor, let me know!

Larger bottle of ejuice take longer to steep. If you find a ejuice you like and order a larger size save some in the smaler bottle and add to it from the larger bottle when it arrives after shaking it extremly well as larger bottles are harder to mix also. Adding fresh to presteeped is known as seed steeping and greatly reduces the normal steeping time.

I have found that my tastes and TH and flavor choices have changed VERY MUCH over my 9 months of vaping. I spent tons of $$ trying to find a good TH with carts, evods, c3, c4, etc. I now use a cheap IGO-W clone and many other $5 clones from Fastech and have an Nzonic Z3. I still have trouble with TH. So, I started making my own tobacco juices at 24mg. With most of these I can get a good TH. There is a steep learning curve to vaping that takes TIME.

Ok heres another question then. Is the itatse mvp a poor quality PV? Im lookin at protank 2 now as well as the new glass vivi novas. Never thought about a carto tank, cause I didnt wanna buy carts a lot. To me its sad the vape is inconsistent cause I love MBV. But I think I need to switch. I also like HHV, any other options for quality liquid?

I know...this is just a last resort type thing. They've been sitting with caps on for over a month with no change.

The one I ordered a big size of was Graham Cracker. I didn't let it sit with caps off because, from DIY steeping, I knew what I didn't like was not going away. That juice sitting for 6 months turned totally opaque black and isn't good for anything except bug spray from what may be left of the nicotine in it. This has not happened to my other juices from other vendors I got as a noob and didn't like. They're still the same transparency and color they were the first month I got them.

I haven't experienced this but I just received my first order of cheesecake from MTB this Monday, and so far I like it. I sent them an email asking what method and how long they suggest to steep for and the reply I got said keep the bottles out of direct sunlight and allow to sit for 2-4 weeks (if possible). The only problem with that for me is that I usually order juice when I need it and don't have enough time to let them steep that long. Hopefully I am going to place a decent sized order on black Friday and will be able to let some of them steep for longer. I know his customer service is top notch. I placed my order last Friday afternoon and received it on Monday. That's also going from WA to NY, which was impressive to me. I hope to do more business with him in the future and see what I find. I'd like to find a nice blueberry or strawberry. I am thinking of adding an extra flavor shot next time. Have any of you emailed him and mentioned your issues with inconsistency to him? It couldn't hurt...

The itaste MVP V2 has a very good reputation! Very value for $$$ under $50.

Thirding this.

Any PV is basically just a battery with some circuitry - how much depends on how many bells and whistles there are. There's such a thing as a bad PV for *you* or a better PV for *you* in terms of size, weight, battery life, VV/VW (or not), etc, but the battery(-ies) themselves are not going to affect the taste of your juice. The only exception to this is with a non-regulated battery you might notice less flavor/vapor as the battery gets low.... that problem is remedied by charging the battery.

But that's not even an issue with the MVP 2, because the MVP2 is regulated... if there's not enough power left to supply your chosen voltage/wattage, it won't fire at all.

What you're attaching *to* the battery (a particular clearo, carto, tank, cartotank, atomizer, etc) can dramatically affect the flavor of the juice, as can the composition of the juice itself.
