I'm one year into vaping, I taste SVD with a pro tank 2. I filed the air flow portion to the bottom of the pro tank to increase air flow. I really enjoyed it and am wondering if anyone has attempted it.

I tried cutting a vertical line on the threads; then I noticed the little pinhole at the top of the threads. I don't think I can really drill that hole wider though; too fine a job for me without a bench and vices and things like that.

I have to keep looking for a good tank thats actually designed for airflow; and judging by the recent joye ego-cc, emode, ecom, and the kanger nautilus, we might see some more next year.

Haven't increased air flow on a Protank 2, though I do have one. I do make my own coils, of course. But air flow is one of the more important parts of the more advanced RBA/RDA's. Vapor and air flow go hand in hand. I have very few devices that I haven't modified the air flow in one way or another. There are also some very good devices out there that allow for variable air flow depending on the build, such as the Trident and a number of others, where air flow control is already built in. Anyway, good luck in your modding. These skills will help you with the more advanced devices. Welcome to the forum.

Kanger is releasing a protank with airflow control early next year called Aerotank
A few sites are taking preorders for it now (but I can't remember which ones - sorry)

What will be next? laser atty's? 4500mah 30amp safe cigalike batteries? or complete restrictions by the government pushed by big tobacco and big pharma [ /rant ]

Next will be a standard in clearotank atomiser.

The standard will likely be a 510 thread.
The standard I'm expecting will become what we call today a cartridge, except you will be able to unscrew the bottom and replace the coil; and replace the filler.

You can actually use the bottom base from the Mini Protank 2 on the full size Protank 1 or 2, they are all interchangeable. This gives more airflow and may help on devices with stripped 510 threads. If you don't already have a Mini Protank 2, you can find the base for a couple of bucks, online as well as some brick and mortar stores that carry replacement parts.
