Aren't they just an HDPE plastic? Same stuff as what most of the available dropper bottles are made of, only thicker

As for why they aren't being used for tanks, I think it just has to do with manufacturing convenience. Glass, polycarbonate and acrylic can be purchased in tubes that can simply be cut to length and installed (and often has a fairly tight dimension tolerance on the ID and OD), but I doubt that particular plastic is as readily available already in tube form with equally tight tolerances. Hence, no tanks ;-)

Has anyone used the ce2 fluxomizer deluxes from gotvapes? And i mean the ones with the newer tubes that do not break? I have been and these tubes are flawless!

So my main question is: what are these tubes and why are they not being used in tanks?

I don't know what kind plastic it is or if it is plastic. But it has properties of plastic. It's cloudy look can come from a product called antiblock (fine ground silica). The mouth piece slips on very easy and the tube is so precise that if you fill the tube, tank or clearomizer, whatever you want to call it builds up pressure and makes it flow out the center tube. Which will give you a flooded situation. The reason it slips on so easy is I think they use slip (pure animal fat) in the product.

I make LDPE for a living. But I don't think it is made out of this type product. It could be made out of a Metallocene type Catalyst plastic. But I am only guessing.

Killjoy, great response! I just hope someone will figure something out. It sucks to have to replace tank tubes and whatnot due to cracks. And half the time the replacement tubes are cracked from shipping. I just can't see myself spending more and more money when theres already a product out there that can be "crackless" or handle any type of liquid regardless of its contents

I had some old automotive underbody neon kit that is incased in uncrackable clear plastic (maybe really thick polycarbonate ) that i made a couple tanks with and they are like bulletproof . You can probably find them for cheap on eabay to cut up and make ten or so tanks with . It withstands being under a car and rocks hitting it so i cant see it ever breaking on a ecig .
