I just got one of these, and it's built like a friggin tank. It's heavy. 3 ounces shy of 1 full pound.

I've got one coming too. I ride a road glide so I'm looking too I hope it works. Just might be a little heavy for a shirt pocket. My Zmax with a holder on my bike might work better

My bike is stripped down. No bags, fairings, nothing. It's not so bad in my vest pocket. No worse then my Galaxy s3 in an otterbox. It takes some getting used to, but it's really not bad at all imo. Plus, it's not a considered a concealed weapon for correcting those young twits at the bar. Lol.

The VTR is an amazing piece of equipment... substantial, to say the least. I'll also throw in the hat the MVP 2.0, which I've found to be damn near unbreakable. If it can survive ME, it can survive just about anything. I was at the union hall the other day and, upon entering the stairwell, bumped the rail. It fell out of my inside coat pocket all the way to the tile a story and a half below. My heart sank, but I'll be damned if it wasn't in perfect working order. ONE scratch.

Myself, at this point in time, can not justify almost $200
The Provari can be considered to be expensive to some. I justified its cost ... so much so I purchased a second one.

I grew weary of having to replace cheaper mods of lesser quality build which broke and couldn't be repaired because the manufacturer didn't offer post-warranty support like the Provari does.

I value the Provari's dependability, reliability, consistancy, better vaping experience, and repairability (should I ever need it). I challenge anyone to name a more durable regulated mod. To me, they are well worth their cost.

Why Provari?

"High cost" is relative. How much did you spend a month on cigarettes? Most of us spent at least $150. The cost of a basic Provari is $160.

Not true, I just picked up a black full size Provari with blue LED and Hippo ring (retail $50) on eBay for $130 shipped. I've seen them cheap on craigslist, too.

The price you just listed is before battery and charger, and is also already above the OP budget.

Some people can justify that, and that's fine. To each their own, but the point was that the OP didn't want over 100 - 120. That was the high end. I understand some feel the provari is great. I do not own one so I can't speak to that or not. IMO I don't feel a Provari would take a drop from a moving motorcycle and survive without repair being needed. I don't see the provari being recommended for use on a construction site.

For the OP's wants, sorry, Provari or REO, buy one and done!

A Provari has been dropped from a motorcycle at 45mph and survived! One was involved in a car wreck at 65mph, the car rolled and it was thrown out the window! The IBtanked was broken, but the Provari still worked!
I've thrown mine on the floor of local vape shops to show it's durability! There have been three that I know that have died. One lost a fight with a lawn mower, one was in a house fire and I left a carto tank on mine too long and juice corroded the board! Provape even fixed mine for free, under warranty! Most times they are dropped it seems they break the tile on the floor!

Edit, forgot to add that I've seen them in the classies for $90-100 used, just have to watch for them.

Actually ... somebody has already dropped their ProVari from a moving motorcycle ... although it did take a beating, according to the OP of that thread, it was still fully operational.

Anyhow, getting back to the OP of this thread. The VTR and 134 are great choices. I have both and can fully recommend either. However, if you want indestructible, I would suggest getting a "Launcher" clone from FastTech.

I have 2 of these and I can tell you, it's built like a brick house ... it's telescopic and can accommodate different battery sizes, it's stainless steel with copper contacts AND, it's only $25.00. This thing hits like a train.

Just my 2 cents.

I have the Sigelei Z Max in Stailess with a Russian 91% and it is a tank as well. Half the price of the Provari, no warranty, but a tank nonetheless.

Ya, my Zmax topped with a Taifin GT recently took a big fall down concrete stairs. It got a scratch or two (while in the air, I thought it was going to smash on impact). Well below 1/2 the price too (it's more like $50-80)

+1 Mikeyoneshot -
choices Provari great build, great device:(Con - expensive),
134 built like a tank (Con built like a tank, can't see it fitting into any pocket you have),
VTR solid and slightly expensive (Con very heavy)
Squape - don't own one can't comment.
Rebuildable attys RBAs solid SS:(Con can't see juice level and have to rebuild),
Dripping Atty RDA solid SS:(Con dripper have to carry juice and rebuild)
rebuilding may not be a prob if you have had a few mods and are already down that path.

Gives you some options to think about.

My wife and I are on our 4th Provari. She lost her first one, droped the second one in a lake while fishing, They hold up very well. The main reason I went with Provari is that there made in usa. I'm in the construction field and the provaris take a beating. I carry them in my side pocket of my carpenter jeans. There really too long for me. I have ruined many tanks because of it. I like the unit Keeferes is recommending. As long as there not made in china, I'll pick one up.

I here people talking about how expensive some items are on these forums, What?!?! $200 is expensive??? Come on, I was spending $70 a week on cigs, Now thats expensive. My wife and I both quit smoking and the savings from quitting, bought us a brand new truck.
