I wanted to start up a discussion regarding two of the most popular vaping video makers on YouTube. I'm sure a high percentage of anyone reading this will know who they are! But those that don't, it's not rocket science to find out! ;)

But anyway. I've witnessed a lot of ....*ing online comparing the two! First thing I want to point out is although their videos are both vaping related, there's a big difference of style in the videos that they post! So I'll set the record straight and explain their differences!

IndoorSmokers: Specifically for casual vapors that just vape as a tobacco alternative and reviews commercial mods. People that use devices such as: Aspire Nautilus, Kanger Aerotanks, Innokin iTaste series, Provape Provari will find his videos helpful. Although recently he has made sub ohm videos reviewing the Kanger SubTank series and the Aspire Atlantis. This is still considered as commercial sub ohm vaping and doesn't scratch the surface as far as sub ohming goes!

RiP Trippers: specifically for sub ohm vapors or cloud chasers, mechanical mod users and high wattage device users has many great videos for coil builders. The devices he uses in his videos are not your everyday devices that you will find in local E-Cig stores. Because of the nature of his videos he gives great advice on battery safety. Those who enjoy using mechanical mods and Evolv DNA powered devices will find his videos very useful and fun to watch!

I hope I've covered the comparison of each of these YouTube users and explained the difference between them! They are not to be classed as the same because they simply give totally different information!

They're are from the same. Indoorsmokers was one of the first dudes I watched on YouTube when I first started vaping. He was laid back and I loved his style. He covered everything and was informative.

Rip Trippers, I respect him as a person, but I can't watch his reviews. I like his coil builds, but not his product videos. Everything he reviews can be found in local shops where I live though. He's just too hyper in his videos.

I think I took after indoorsmokers when I started doing videos. Not in the sense of products, but in the sense of being laid back. Just an easy going dude, I could watch a 2 hour video of his if he released one that long.

I just laugh at the dumb..... comments telling IndoorSmokers he is doing it all wrong and should get a mech or sig150 with a .08 dripper on it. They are to dumb to realize he would do that if he wanted to.

Personally I like ID better in general. He reviews alot of nice stuff and he aint to over the top.

Rip has just gotten to crazy and its old to me know. When he settles down and shows how to do the build he is 1 of the best, but shouting "Sick as ...." and "this thing chucks the vapor" over and over is annoying. His reviews are also bogus and wont ever buy anything juat because he talks it up(suckered me into a VTR). Everyweek he has the best product he has ever used which proves he is paid off and I dont like that. Im all for him getting his bread, I just wish he was more honest in his reviews.

Good.post Blake, but only new Vapors didn didnt know this. Would of been better Suited for the New Members forum.

So let's see, they each have an onscreen personality and that may or may not be their normal personality and they want to pass on their knowledge to others and we'll just have to make a wild guess and say they would appreciate being compensated in some way for their efforts.. Uhm.... I believe that's makes them just like everyone else you see on any screen and like all of the others if you don't like it you don't have to watch.

Personally I'm not watching any of it unless I would like to know something specific and if either them or someone else has something to say about what I'm interested in then I'll have a look and take it into consideration, there are plenty of other things that are far more entertaining to watch if you're just wasting time.

  • Reason: Drug reference, even hinted at.... That is a no-no. Thank you :)

I believe that both Rip Tripper and Indoorsmokers (don't know the hosts name?) have valuable information for viewers interested in vaping, but their delivery style is just not for me. Rip looks like he could benefit from a Ritalin prescription and indoorsmokers reminds me of a person who's a cross between a 1970's or 80's game show host and a used car salesman - he's stuck in the 70's. Both appear to be delivering their messages to a late teen/early twenty something sub-culture audience and consequently, from my perspective alienate the more mature (read old like me) crowd.

For me, there is no better vaping reviewer than Phil Busardo. He is professional, respectful, informative and humorous without being "silly."

Another man in the shed fan just so laid back and his face tells you when he doesn't think much of what he is reviewing other then that of course PB in depth as you need with humour also twisted420 humour and very laid back and his enthusiasm comes through very clear. As for rip trippers cant stand the guy like others have said very phoney and way over the top with mediocre hardware and his style is too juvenile for me personally never watched indoor and won't be I got my faves don't need more.
