sorry for the noob question but i was wondering if the extended cup works with both the 18650 and cr123a? or do i have to buy one of each to do both ? thanks

It will? I tried 2 x 16340s in my 18650 cup at some point and couldn’t get the whole thing to close properly.
I then reckoned 340 x 2 = 680, and that is probably why. I added the other cup (finally remembered) to an order yesterday. If it turns out my batteries were slightly out of spec it would be annoying.

2 x 16340 fit with ease in my Indulgence so yes the Ext cup fits an 18650 as well as 2 x 16340's, that is as long as the specs haven't changed my Gold Indulgence is from many moons ago, but it is a beauty and in new condition
I also got 4 copper hot springs from Altsmoke and replaced the stock spring, much better contacts now
wow thanks for the info. but dose anybody know it its actually the same cup? cuz i remember a few months ago the dimension specs were different but they seem identical now on the site. di?? lol thanks
My apologies. I just checked my drawer and I don’t own a single 16340. It must have been 2 x 18350s that didn’t work. That is $19 well spent...

18350's are much wider so unless they widened and lengthened the cup they wouldn't fit, wait for Di, but I don't think 2 x 18350's will fit, its also not a waste if you have the Ext cup 2 x 3.0v or 2 x 3.6v or 2 x 3.7v will all fit, and to answer your original question , again yes 2 x cr123a's will work for 6v vaping as well as an 18650
