I've never heard of this, but maybe some of the minds here can help figure this one out.
I got my new "Indulgence" e-cigarette mod on Saturday. The indulgence comes with two different "bottoms" or "cups" as they are called by Eastmall. One of the cups is short and allows the use of a single 3.7v battery. The extended cup allows for two batteries @ 6v or 7.2v depending on which batteries are used.
On my unit, everything works fine with the 3.7v cup. When I use the extended cup, my HV atty will work fine, but regular attys don't work at all - I have tried 510's and 901's so far - no dice. I try the same attys with 3.7v and they work fine. Try the HV atty at 6v and 7.2v and it works fine. The cup is simply a piece of metal with a spring - nothing more.
A quick check on the forums, and it seems to be a common problem:

Eastmall has suggested that the spring is not making contact with the extended cup, but that seems wrong to me as the HV attys would not work either.
I am wondering if it has something to do with the type of batteries they are supplying?
This is my first foray into "high voltage" so hopefully some of the experts can chime in here to help figure this out.
Would simply trying a different brand of batteries be the trick?
Thanks for any advice!
