Ok I have been vaping on this bad boy for 5 days now thought I would give it my once over
The Good
- It looks amazing, you really have to see the pin striping to appreciate it...it is not over the top but definately noticable on the candy apple red model. I use a red drip tip for the full effect.
- The price is very good, especially if you already have as much 510 stuff as I did...I ordered one a la cart usb pass through for 22.00 dollars (including cone), as it just uses a standard usb mini cable to charge I didn't need to buy a new charger
- Battery life is good and with the usb pass through built in you can charge while you vape...never run out of battery power again
- Volcano's one year warranty and the fact they get it out the door within 24 hours (mine went out in 4!) is a plus.
The Bad
- Like the normal eGo's the volcano's button seems a bit light weight for me...it has given me no problems but there is just a tad to much play in it...then again I had a nintendo controller that lasted for years like that
- The outside is so nice I don't want to mess it up so I baby it a bit more than my normal 510's though I did take it to work today and it made it through fine...and I have dropped it from my bed to my hard wood floor and there was no visible wear after the fall.
All in all it is working out great, I ordered it on a friday and received it monday which is faster than anything else I ordered that Friday (I am talking to you liberty flights). This isn't the first fat battery pv I have used as I have a friend with an eGo...they seem comparable but the eGo cone is a bit more of a hassle to remove and put back on, the Volcano has an o-ring system to hold its cone in place...I like it more as I find myself taking it on and off a lot as I swap flavors. The volcano looks better in my opinion than the plain jane eGo.
If you have a magma or any other standard sized 510 battery then you do not HAVE to upgrade to an Inferno but I find for around the house the inferno lets me get home and vape without worrying about battery changing...with a drip tip and a bottle of juice I am in vaping heaven. It is nice that you can just use all your standard 510 atty's and carto's on it. Vapor production is the same as a normal 510 however it hits like a fully charged mini 510 battery all the time as opposed to just the first 10 minutes or so.
