So I got my Volcano Inferno T kit on Wednesday and I've been reading all over this forum and I hear so much about the care and maintenance on ecigs...I'm still confused about my ecig and how it works compared to others. I decided I need to order some back-up tankomizers ASAP. Okay, got that. The video I watched on how to fill the tanks and how they snap in also showed me how to clean my tankomizer. I haven't done this yet. I was too anxious-I came back to that part a few hours later. So how often should I be cleaning it? Every night, every week?

I've gone through about three tanks so far. I'm guessing anyway, as I started switching tanks when I got new flavors yesterday. And I'll just say the switch from strawberry to vanilla juice was amazing when the flavors got mixed. I saw a post about blowing out the atty too, and I don't know what that means.

This forum is huge. I'll feel dumb if this is up on a sticky already but it wouldn't surprise me. But I don't know if my ecig is the same thing as I think I saw something about an eGo tank? Or Reo? I don't know other brands and how they match up yet!

First calm down!!! :) It's not rocket science. If you aren't having trouble and I'm not hearing you are, you're fine. eGo-T = Inferno-T = Tornado-T = Jaunty Jet They are all the same thing. Different brands.

I'd blow the atomizer out every night or two. Major cleaning soaks etc. when it starts performing poorly or tasting nasty. If it quits completely the atty is probably shot.

hm, lets see if i can get the invisible questions answered :p

Two atties are good to have because when cleaning day comes, it's good to have one to use. Also, if you're not wanting to blend two flavors while the atty gets used to the new one, just pop on the other atty. I clean mine once a week unless using dark liquid. For some reason the darker things tend to gunk them up a little. If I use dark, I alternate with light (morning moca, evening peach or some such combo).

Cleaning... there are several threads on this but if you're over 21, get some everclear (drinking alcohol) under 21, get 90% alcohol for cleaning wounds. (white bottle, smells bad, poison to drink, costs a dollar...) BUT! make sure you watch videos on how to use either of these two to clean your attys.

Cleaning the capsules (as i call the refillable tank part) is as simple as hot water. I keep two on rotation, one drying (or prefilled if im planning a busy day), one filled for use. I use them till they "fog up" at the top... then switch. After they fog, they get juice in the top due to condensation and you might suck in a bit of juice. You can use these wet (just after cleaning), but the fog effect will happen quicker

Hi and welcome to ecf and vaping. You would clean the attys(atomizers) when vapor slows down or it becomes hard to draw on. blowing the atty means remove the tank and atty from the battery, get a tissue and hold it on the threaded end of the atty and blow thru it to catch the juice that comes out.

Hi, Amanada, and welcome

I had two eGo Mega atomizers and few eGo-T (which I guess are the same as Inferno) which were clogged and had burnt taste.
I tried various methods of cleaning, mentioned on the forum, like alcohol, denture cleaning tablets, dry burn. Nothing worked well enough. I have killed three atomizers just by improper dry burn. Then I've found "Volcano Tankomizer Instructional Video" on How-to's for the best eCig on the market!.

They recommend nothing but soaking in a boiling water. Did this yesterday and revived completely these two eGo Mega which I already didn't hope to revive. So the simplest method works better of all for me. You may want to watch this video. It explains a lot.

Woodman, I'm not having any issues with it at all. I just wanted to know about care and maintenance of it. Talking to someone more knowledgeable about it last night cleared up a lot of these questions, especially about brand names. I said I needed to order a couple more because after reading this forum, I now know you can't rely on just one atty. Even though the lifespan seems pretty good on these ones I'd hate for one to burn out and then have to go without while waiting for more. And I also need something to use while cleaning them. So-no complaints about my ecig whatsoever. Thing is amazing.

Also figured out what it meant to blow it out. I was so confused...after reading methods involving compressed air and whatnot to clean I had no idea it would be that simple. I'm getting it. Slowly. Thanks everybody for answering my questions!
