Hey guys I looking into getting a kick for my new mod I just got its a k100 with a 1.8 ohm kanger protank. Now from my understanding I dont need a kick to run wht I have. But do I need to use a kick if I want to use high ohm attys or carto tanks? As far as setting the watts is there a standard setting? Like can I just set it to 6 watts and then I would b good to vape any ohm atty or carto or a low watt setting or a higer watt? Im still really new to vaping . Ps I know I can get a mod that will do all of that for me but do to some physical issue's the mechanical mod with the big bottom button is the way tp go for me. Any help or info anyone can give me would b a big help. Thank u.

Hi....I would like to know what you are guys are putting the kick into....I am using the VAMO and HAVE no clue what I would do with this e kick...I think it's for the mechanical mods like Sigelli, but the set up....no idea how and where to start...
Welcome to the forums nyuboy1!
A kick is used in mechanical mods, offers variable wattage and regulation in the same way your vamo does. You don't use these in vamos, provaris, evics, or other mods that already have regulation.

Okay - I know a couple of people have already answered your question, but there are a few things which haven't necessarily been covered. If you want to use high res atties/cartos, then yes - you will need a kick to get the same heat, vapour production and flavour as you would at 3.7V on a low res atty/carto. One of the advantages of vaping higher resistances at higher voltages is extended battery life:

1.8 Ohms @ 3.7V = 7.61W and 2.06A
3.0 Ohms @ 4.5V = 7.68W and 1.60A

The boost circuit in the Kick is pretty efficient, so there isn't a huge effect on battery life when vaping at voltages above the native voltage of the battery you're using - meaning that the reduced current draw at higher voltages is still very relevant.

These just came out, its a pre-order, haven't heard of anyone that has them in hand. And some have said whats pictured is the original kick.

Think I'll wait myself till a few review it :)

Wonders why it says "Kicked By Evolv" right on it. Now that's what I call cloning! Think I might just send that link to Brandon.

For the OP, the kick is pretty much a set it & forget it device. It's probably been 6-8 months since I have changed the setting on mine. About the only thing it doesn't play well with are DCC's.

So....a follow up question. I am not sure what are the reasons, and how and why I would want to cape above the 5 amp limit on my vamo?
I am looking at X8 mech mod and sigelei 20, but they all seem huge and I want something smaller. Any help would be great!!

Only way you're going to go above 5 amps on a mechanical mod (with 4.2V batteries) is with sub 1 ohm coils. Many do this, the quality of vape cannot be done on a vamo or other electronically regulated devices which use pulse width modulation.

In 18350 mode, the sigeli 20 (clone of the roller) is one of the smallest mods out there, just a few like the dingo or paps that is slightly shorter.
