Once again I say hello and welcome to today's review of the Coolfire Z-80 Nex Kit from Innokin. The device uses a replaceable single 18650 battery and has a maximum power output of 80 watts with a simple to navigate menu interface. This updated Coolfire device also includes a lock switch that locks the fire button and adjustment buttons for safe pocket carry without powering down the device. Innokin also has a new version of the performance proven Zenith tank included called the Zenith Nex, the Nex uses a innovative top cap that spins counterclockwise revealing top fill and when turned clockwise reveals your airflow adjustment ( Multitasking Top Cap ). Let's get started.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Innokin did a nice job as far as packaging goes, a inner box that slides out of a outer sleeve. The device and tank rest in their own spot while underneath them sits the spare glass tube, user manual, charge cable, safety booklet, RDL drip tip, 0.3Ω coil and a spares parts kit.

I received the Gunmetal color with the brown leather spine that has some cushion feel to it. I really like the color combo match of the tank and mod. I'm glad it's a matt color Gunmetal leaving no fingerprints. Innokin was nice sending additional coils with my review item.

I was excited to try the new coils out, the tank ships with the 0.8Ω coil and MTL drip tip pre installed so that's what how I started testing.The 0.8Ω upgraded coil proved very flavorful using my adv tobacco juice, throat hit is there and I was able to identify the nuances of flavor of this juice I use daily.

The new Zenith Nex tank is really great to use and simple as well. Turning the top cap counterclockwise reveals a rubber plug which is the fill port, turning the top cap clockwise reals the airflow selector, you will need to adjust airflow after every fill but it's no big deal. I thought that the MTL drip tip was comfortable and the bore size was narrow enough for a great MTL vape.

The device in my opinion is a very classy looking device with the matt metal finish next to the Brown leather spine and sides, the Z-80 NEX is embossed between single stitching ( very nice appearance ). the adjustment buttons a located on one side of the device leaving the front face clean looking.

The familiar Gold trim around the fire button that Innokin uses a lot really makes the device pop in appearance even more. At the bottom of the front face is where the lock switch is located with the USB-C charge port being below it. Thee switch has just the right amount of resistance to it and has never came off it's setting when I have pocket carried.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


I think this kit as a whole is a winner 100%, the tank provides great flavor and has a innovative top cap. the flavor from the tank and updated coils are a improvement of a great tank & coils.
