Rumor has it Innokin's bottom dual coils for this new Clearomizer the IClear X.I
will be the same used in the IClear 30B...

Which I view as a big mistake... I believe the vent holes in the bottom of the 30B's coils contact pins
are to far down and away from the coils in the IClear 30B
and presently cause way to many of the 30B's coils to fail (drasticly) much to soon...

Now if the same dual coils from Innokin's IClear 16 B were used instead... then that
would have meant coils must closer to the bottom contact pin holes... therefore working better
and... lasting strongly up to at least 2 weeks... to as much as a month (if not more)
without any problems... even vaporing maximum 100% vg e-liquids.
I know this for a fact... as they (16B's) are in my arsenal of daily used clearomizer.

Note: Neither of the sets of coils in the 16B nor 30B can be rebuilt.

As it is... this Clearomizer from Innokin... the IClear X.I ... is just a Glass clearomizer that can
accept e-liquids that would other wise crack a plastic clearo...

Edit: NO... there is not air converter on this new tank... just to channels cut in the bottom
and three holes in contact pin instead of two on the sides.
VapinGreeks thoughts are share in a video... but one thing I don't understand is he says after about 5 or more days he washed the tank out and DRY BURNED the coils... HOW in the heck did he do that???
when the COILS are buried inside and enclosed metal closer???
Dry burning calls for being able to see the coils and knowing when to let off to clear the ash/gunk away from the coils time and again...
anyway... here's the video... : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCFWbHMbcaE

I for one was very unimpressed by the iclear 30B. Looks like this is a step in the right direction and they were smart enough this time to make a bottom dual coil tank that fits in the vtr. How they made the 30B without the vtr in mind is beyond me. Only thing missing for its size is an airflow controller.

My current favorite tank is Kanger's aerotank. This looks like a slight rip off of the protank/aerotank design which I wouldn't mind being a big fan of kanger. Sad they are using different heads than the 30b though.

I think Innokin is going to have to make a tank with adjustable airflow in order to keep up and compete with Aspire and Kanger. I hope they do because I really do like all of my Innokin products.

I totally agree with you. AFC is now a required component of any tank I buy. It just makes that big a difference in my quality of vape. I don't always vape the same, sometimes it's a lazy less air needed draw and sometimes it's a full on lung hit with the need for some greater air flow. I feel so restricted on my carto tanks that give good flavor, but sadly lack in a satisfying draw. I'm really sold on AFC, and that's where my vape dollars will go from now on. Manufacturers need to take note as I see this an important feature going forward.

By coincidence I was looking at that page and thought the coils looked just like those in the iClear 16b which came with my 'energy edition' MVP V2.0. My thoughts on the tank was that it reminded me of the Aspire Nautilus, just smaller. And I'd rather buy another Nautilus with its airflow control than try yet another new clearomizer.

I'm pretty happy with the 30s for now. Think I'll wait this one out for a while and see if any issues shake out. For bottom coil tanks, I am pretty happy with my PT2's. I keep dark juices like vanilla and coffee flavors in them because I can re-build the coils. I will say this; if the replacement coils are as expensive as the 30s ones for a BDC tank, I am likely not interested unless it is fantastic in some way. Somehow, I don't see that to be the case.

I currently have the Kanger Aerotank and iClear 30s.

I have ordered a Protank 2, Protank 3 and also the new Innokin iClear X.1 and all three tanks are being delivered today as we speak - Out for delivery. I will test the iClear X.1 and post back my thoughts on it.

Todays mail - Out for delivery:

Protank 2
Protank 3
iClear X.1

I ordered from My Vapor Store (MVS). I live in Kansas and it shipped from MVS in NY and it's taken only 2 days to arrive. Super fast shipping and great customer service btw.

Ok so I've been using the iTaste iClear X.1 for a couple hours now.

First impressions are its pretty looking, solid built, glass, swivel drip tip is nice and not loose, makes me smile and looks killer on the iTaste VTR

Next thing is the coils appear nicely built, coils don't seem to be to hard to rebuild, fill up easy but... threads are not as smooth as the Protanks and Aerotanks

Flavor and performance seem so so. Flavor is not great but it is there but I wish the flavor was a little stronger like on the Protanks/Aerotanks. Performance is nice and smooth, you almost swear your getting no vapor till you exile or open your mouth. Nice amounts of vapor and smooth smooth.

Only thing I wish is the flavor was a little stronger.

Tested on iTaste VTR and using Mount Baker Vapor - Hawk Sauce (my favorite e juice) 12mg 50/50

Tested Watts 4.0, 5.5, 7.0, 9.0, 10,0.0, 10.5, 11.0, 11.5 and 12.5
Tested Volts 3.0, 3.5, 4.5, 5.0
