as somebody with a recent MVP2 failure i can only say this....

...buy the damn thing!

no seriously out of the large group of people i vape with regularly the MVP2 is king, its small enough to daily carry, has spectacular battery life and if its going to fail at all it will be massive trauma or factory error (like mine) and can be returned during the first 90 days.

I would say it has the Magnus Viking seal of approval (oh and we are in Northern ireland too) if im honest as almost all the mid to long term vapers use them as daily carries with iClear30S for a loooooooOOOoooOOong day vape and during events due to the battery life and size as well as the ability to recharge our phones should the worst happen.

put it this way they can take 30+ grown men in full mail weilding weapons and only have the ting in a waist pouch hold up to a full melee and still work well.

you wont get a better mid range box mod anywhere.

Oh and did i mention you can drip on it? yep with a decent RDA and a single coil build of 1.5 - 2.5ohm you can drip like a champ.

a fantastic all round mod, keep an eye on the new members forum for my "nub review!" some time this weekend for a little more info

I second all of this the MVP is a beast it is the only device that can handle me and my chain vaping that I do. i really cant complain about the device really. Buy one and you will be very happy, and I can confrm that yes you can drip on it i have RDA with 1.5 coil built hits like mech. No problem lots of vapor and great flavor you can't go wrong.

I too would love a eleaf istick because of their smaller size but thought they where out of stock right now. Where did you purchase yours Kathring and Greeneyzegirl?

I haven't purchased it yet, Kat05. Just interested. I've only found them available for pre-order from a website called Smoke Evoloution. Eleaf iStick 20w Compact VV/VW MOD

they really are the best bang for the buck there is out there. the eleaf istick MIGHT be a better product after time tells if it holds up well.

The eleaf iStick is just coming out. So if you are looking for a proven device that has been around for a time then MVP2. if you are a risk taker and want the latest and maybe greats (who knows) iStick.

I just got the iStick a few days ago, and so far it's been a fairly decent device. I've been mostly using a Kanger Aerotank Mega and Aspire Nautilus on them and they both sit flush and work great on it. I do have an MVP 2.0 Shine Edition, which I've owned for a few months now, and I still love it. The iStick is pretty small, and the MVP feels more substantial in my hand, but I guess that's more of a personal preference. The iStick battery life is pretty good, lasts me a good day's worth of moderate chain vaping, but the MVP does last longer under the same use.

No puff counter on the iStick, but it shows the voltage/wattage, resistance and battery level all on the same screen, while on the MVP you'll have to skip through screens to get the same information. And the iStick goes up to 20 watts, while the MVP tops out at 11 watts.

I will say that, after just a few days of use and travel in my pocket, the iStick is already showing a bit of wear (some small scratches) while my MVP, after 3 months of use and travel in my pocket (with keys and change) only has one small scratch on it. Could be the difference in the finishes or the colors, but there it is. If you see needing more than 11 watts in the future, the iStick might be something you want to check out. You can find them on Ebay for around $30-$40. However, if you don't see needing more than 11 watts, I can highly recommend the MVP. As others have stated, it's a well respected and proven device, very reliable and well worth the money. Good luck!

Edit: I'll admit, I'm a bit torn. I don't really need both devices, and I've been thinking of putting my MVP up on Ebay, but I still really like it. I'm going to give it a couple of more weeks of iStick use before I decide. Who knows, they're both pretty cool, so I might just keep both for my collection!:)

Edit 2: Oh, one other thing - the MVP can be used as a USB charger. It has a full USB port on the bottom with a switch to turn on external charging. Just adding that in case it's important to you. I've never used it for that, myself.

it only goes up to 5 volts and 11 watts there are box mods that go higher. when im at home i always wish i went for a more powerful mod but
when im on the go i know i made the right decision my mvp 2.0 last me 3 days without a charge. and it can charge a gopro XD (im a skater and gopros die fast)
they are also really durable. the first thing your gonna notice it the tank sucks. some say replacing the wick with cotton helps but i just bought a different tank lol
oh yea nautilus mini ...thats the tank i got......wow im rambling in a forum i dont think im gonna do replys no more im just not good at this lmao

Ive got a SVD and the MVP2...I truly like the SVD with it being VV/VW and its a beast - but - they are known for having switch issues and random and shut downs...mine has exhibited both after less than a month! So I took to the forums and found great/good and not so good reviews about the MVP2. Knowing that I would probally soon need a back up I found one on fleabay for $37 shipped! I like it and it will work but seems to not match the SVD cloud production (both using bvc) at the same wattage. As others have already said " For a beginning unit or as a backup" you wont do yourself an injustice :) Just be prepared that you'll want something different (as we all do) in the future

Just like all vaping kit.....

They're great until you try the next best thing. I was maxing out at 11w on the MVP V2.0 and stepped it up to an IPV2 50w box mod. The MVP 2.0 is definitely higher quality, lower price and has more features but the IPV2 lights it up in terms of vapor. If you drip or sub ohm (or plan to) you will need something with more power than the MVP 2.0. If I only used tanks (including Kayfuns) I'd probably stick with an MVP. I still have 3 of them from when I started out.
