I'm looking at one and thought the magnetic idea would be good. I have a pull-out faucet that works that way. They probably should have made it round instead of square. People who've had there's a while . . . How are they still performing?

Mine are both still working fine. I did drop one of them on the pavement shortly after I did my review of them and ended up popping out the plastic cover over the display, but it glued back on okay. (Although I did learn that cyanoacrylates -- superglues -- are not friendly to some plastics and fog them up.) It survived the fall though with no other damage but a little scuffing on the endcap.

I'm bumping this up to tell the full saga of this itaste battery as it is quite an interesting tale. so i just got my replacement today after eagerly waiting for 2+ weeks and everything seems to be working fine.

About a week or 2 ago, nadine told me they had fixed my battery and were ready send it back. she said the reason it failed was in the connector. turns out the pin inside the battery had bent and was making contact with the circuit board which caused the malfunction, she said it was probably due to using it in pass-thru mode on a computer at too high of a voltage (which i did do, not realizing that it was a bad idea cuz i've never had a passthru battery before) it must've gotten too hot and melted the glue or something like that. so i was relieved that it was fixed and coming back to me shortly.

so then i waited...and waited, till monday when i emailed nadine again asking what was up wiht my battery and when to expect it back. she told me with great dismay that the battery WAS fixed and working and they WERE about to send it back, but ejuicewizard's technician (who's name i dont know because i didnt actually contact him) had his car robbed and one of the things stolen was .......you guessed it, my Itaste battery and case :(. luckily he was nice enough to send me a brand new replacement at no cost which i received today. Hope the battery breaks again (or explodes) on the jackass who robbed his car , but overall i'm very happy with the service from ejuicewizard they definitely went above and beyond helping me with this battery and i would definitely order from them again.

as for the itaste itself, its putting out some mean clouds of vape right now and im so happy to have variable voltage again, my 18650s for my vmod xl are nearing the end of their life cycle so the unregulated 3.7 volts is starting to get a bit on the anemic side, even with a full charge. now i can delay buying new batteries for that a little while longer and i finally get to use this sexy portable vv unit, i will probably post a review after ive had more time with it but right now its working flawlessly.

Cheers Itastians :vapor: :toast:!!!

I bought mine which is the Itaste vv Version 3 from Innokin iTaste VV XL Clearomizer Kit, 510-Thread iTaste VV CE4 Kit - Top Buy and I havent had a single issue (Except the time it took to get here from china.

I think in your case you got a bad one I didn't see it but what version did you end up getting ?

v1 = Tank (has all magnets)
v2 = Tidy System (has just 510 magnet)
v3 = XL Cleromizers with FIXED 510 connector *(best version)*

@brent, as far as i know it's the version 2, but it has recently been making me think it's a version 1 . it hasn't been acting the way it should lately, instead of changing colours when the charge goes down, it just stays green all the time and after a while it doesnt fire unless it's plugged in, and it seems like it's had a shorter battery life than when i first got it. i think this is due to issues with the magnetic connectors and possibly also because i've been charging it with my nokia charger and not the itaste cord (which is way too short for my liking)but im not really sure, in any case ive ordered an ego twist now. maybe when we get the new V3s with the fixed connections for sale in canada i'll pick up one of those, but the twist just seems more practical right now. ill just use my itaste as a pass-thru since that's when it's most reliable for me.

iTaste is the square PV right? theres a store that sells them in my area and was thinking of picking one up. Innokin's line of juices is delicious too btw.

I want to know if anyone else has had a bad experience with the iTaste or if this is a one off defect

Sorry for your luck, at least it happened soon after you bought it and not a month later after warranty!

Vancouver baby!
I've had some issues with my iTaste recently as well.

I've had a few issues with Innokin atomizers to be honest. They asked me to review their Aio, Lea, Leo, and iTaste VV.
the e-cigs look awesome and stylish but *half* the atomizers I had would burn out. They would become glowing red hot and make a thick disgusting smoke that tasted chemical and burned the throat. Maybe the VG e-juice I was using was too thick?
Anyone else have that problem? you can check out my reviews in my profile link.

I don't recommend the iTaste (v2). Had mine a week and hate it. Magnetic connection is loose causing false "recommendations" and no hits 50% of the time. The "counter" counts these and I can find nothing on how to reset the counter. No way to know when its fully charged because the light turns green as soon as you plug it in. Super short cord. Un-useable with a tank. Way too high a price for the quality.

To reset the puff counter just turn the device off, when it is fully charged the light will turn off completely.

I saved about $5 - LOL! Good thing I didn't need it in a hurry. They won't ship via China Airmail anymore I see.

Ah, I see, must have taken the boat over. $5 haha, I would have just given you the $5 so you would have had it quicker! :D

Wow..... ok, granted, I've only had mine a scant 24 hours, but for a boxed kit, I think this thing rocks. My connections seem nice and snug, the juice tastes right, and it's a pretty little full-featured unit. I'd recommend it to a new or newish vaper in a heartbeat. Thinking of it as a starter kit, it's the cat's pyjamas. For someone with only one atty, the passthrough capability is brilliant-- you're never without a puff. Having VV is a sweet bonus, but the really sweet thing is the feature that will check the ohms of your atty FOR YOU and recommend the optimal voltage. From there you can tinker if you're so inclined, but that feature is really nice for someone starting out.

I still love my collection of eGo parts, but the iTaste is rapidly earning a big place in my heart. I want to add some atty covers/heads/cartridges so that I can keep them preloaded with different flavors. Twisting threaded attys on and off isn't really a big deal, but when you're on the go, nothing can beat the "pop-on/pop-off" convenience this setup offers. With the pen-cap and sleek design, it's a terrific and discreet unit to carry with you and ideal for pocket or purse.

My only small complaints are that it has a proprietary charge connection, but with my lifestyle, that's really no big deal. For emergencies though, a newbie might want to consider a second charge cable and car charger for emergencies and passthrough use. The other tiny thing is that unlike the raised, lit button on my eGos that's easy to see even while depressed, when I'm pushing the iTaste button, I'm pretty much blocking the LED and can't see it. Again, hardly something to get too put off about.

I think Constantine recently said it, and I double the sentiment: There really are no bad tools (not withstanding malfunctions), just different tools that appeal to different vapers at different times. If you're already a serious vaper and heavy into your mods and high performance, the iTaste might not be for you. But for new/newish vapers, or someone who just wants something simple, this seems to be a very full-featured, simple to use, and cleverly designed unit for the price.
