I bought the MVP 2.0 Starter kit from Mt. Baker. I like the tank it comes with, but I feel like using a drip fits me better. I started with a eGo like everyone else and recently moved to this Box mod when I saw it for so cheap on baker.

I want a drip setup because I don't vape all the time, but when I do, I like to control how much I vape so I don't binge on juice.

Any setups for "Drip"

Prefer to keep it nice and cheap, as a college student, money is a big problem.

Max wattage is 11 for the MVP2. You'll have to keep the builds above at least 1.2 ohms, but you can really use any topper you want. I have an Atomic RDA which I fiddle with occasionally, and with the right build works just fine on my MVP2. I found the Atomic at VapeNW for about $15 back in December.

Is an RDA hard to understand and learn? I'm really bad with building anything mechanical, give me a set of gundam and it takes me more than 2 hours, it took my mom an hour. (yea, we raced)

Please read through the blogs by Baditude E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

He discusses battery safety and ohm's law. Physically building isn't that bad - wrapping wire around some sort of spindle or drill bit. Getting the leads positioned and tightened down correctly. MEASURING THE BUILD BEFORE YOU FIRE IT ;) You probably shouldn't use less than 28g Kanthal with the MVP (I use 28 or 30g depending on what I'm building) The MVP doesn't have enough oomph to heat up thicker wire.

will the aspire mini nautilus or the KST mini work on the MVP?

I'm looking on ebay right now and found a pretty good deal, so I was wondering which one I should get with that too.

Also, I looked a atomic clone you suggested and it looks pretty good. Also looked up a build video to get a gist of it, seems hard, but I can see why people like to do it

You'll have to build the coils yourself for the Magma, so it doesn't sound like something you'd be interested in. It's not hard to do but it does take some know-how and a bit of mechanical aptitude as well as a few specialized tools and supplies. I think this holds true for any RDA, but I may be wrong on that. I've heard of dripping with cartomizers but have never tried it. Maybe someone here can chime in about that as an option.

The iClear tanks that come with the MVP2 are decent but they tend to be juice-hogs compared to most other tanks. You could get something like an Aspire Nautilus Mini which will use about half as much juice as the iClear, then just put however much juice in the tank that you feel like using at the time.
BTW, Mt Baker has the Nautilus and the Mini on sale right now for about $25. Best of luck to you.

Mini Nauts are o.k. on the MVP2. I ran mine around 10.5-11 W (which is the upper end of the MVP...) I have some higher-powered rigs now, and I like my Nauts just over 12W (I hear others take them even higher, but mine burn that high.)

Truth be told, I was using EVOD tanks most of last year. I learned to rebuild the heads (click on my blog counter for some info) to extend their lives. THAT'S what got me to quit smoking. Now I'm in a position that this has become somewhat of a hobby for me, and that's when I started dabbling in higher-powered rigs, different toppers, and making my own juice.

Good Luck :)

Thank you DingerCPA and philoshop for all the advices.

Shortly after buying the MVP 2.0, I saw something else that interested me so I ordered it too. I have now 2 box mods.

I bought awhile ago the iStick 50w for $54 with tax and shipping included. I should have it in a few days.

The Nautilus mini was what I'm going to go with both mods, is that fine?

It's not hard, if you understand ohms law and have an ohms reader for your builds, as others have pointed out. Personally, I had zero luck using an RDA on my MVP 2.0. It was hard, as a newbie builder, to get the resistance high enough to fire, and with the resistance at 1.5 ohms I had to turn the MVP all the way up to 11w to get it to heat up enough to vape the juice. Even when it did, the vapor production and flavor were disappointing. There was a long lag time before you could get anything, and I found it unimpressive when it worked at all. You might be happier with something like a Nautilus or a Protank. A Protank was what I used when I was using my MVP, and it worked just fine. If you want to limit your juice consumption, just don't fill it all the way up. I believe it's only 2.5ml full anyway.

ETA: Should have read all the way to the end of the thread. :) If you have an iStick 50w, you could run an RDA with no problems on that. It has more leeway as far as resistance on your coils, and it has plenty enough power to run them.
