    Hello and welcome back for today's review of a RDL Pod System from Innokin and Okino Labs that offers a simple and easy device with a solution of a issue that often kills devices of this kind. The Okino C100 is powered by a 800mAh internal battery and offers 2 ways of firing ( Auto draw - Manual Button Press ). The Okino C100 uses replaceable coils ( 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω mesh ). After some brief manufacturer information I'll give you my findings on this kit later on in my review.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    The packaging is as simple as the device having a cardboard ring that the device sits in inside the box keeping it stationary during shipping, removing the device I immediately liked the 2 color choices that were sent for review. Both the Blue and Red are of a matt finish but the colors are deep. I wanted to fully charge both devices before testing and found it easier laying them down on their side rather than standing upright worked better because they are so lightweight they sometimes fall over.

    When charging a LED that circles the bottom of the device illuminates showing different color indicating battery strength levels. The LED also flashes a array of lights when vaping, to save on battery usage I turned them off by pressing the fire button twice quickly.

    BATTERY METER LIGHTS

    * BLUE - 100 - 30%

    * YELLOW - 30 - 10%

    * RED - 10% AND UNDER

    The pod attaches to the device as most do using magnets that hold it in place well. The Okino C100 comes with a absorbent pad preinstalled and a protective sticker on the coil that needs to be removed before using. The preinstalled pad has a adhesive sticker but the replacements don't.

    Remember to prime your coil or fill the pod and let it sit for 10 minutes before using. The capacity of 4ml is great but being heavily tinted it's hard to see the juice level in the pod unless in bright light so check your juice level often. There is a maximum juice fill line printed on the pod to prevent over filling.

    As far as comfort goes the duckbilled mouthpiece works very well as does the auto draw feature, I've become so used to auto draw on pods and not all of them are good with some stopping in mid vape or having to really draw hard to get them to function, thankfully the Okino C100 works great in that department.

    Bore size is good giving a very nice RDL vape, I was worried seeing no airflow adjustment but there really is no need for it on this device. For those of you that use lanyards you also get a slip on lanyard ring in the kit. When installing coil remember to align cut outs in the coil with the magnets.

    I've told you how light the device is but haven't mentioned size yet, in my hand it almost disappears with just the tip of the mouthpiece sticking out and with the auto draw working as well as it does it's perfect for stealth vaping. Seeing no visible airflow inlets I have to assume it's coming in from the sides of the pod, you are able to wiggle and rock the pod a tiny bit once connected to the device, even though there's movement to magnets hold very well. There are also safety protections built into the Okino C100 device.

    SAFETY FEATURES

    • No Load (o/c):- No coil detected (>3.5 ohms)
    • Overcharge:- Cuts off at 100% charge
    • Over Discharge:- Device will shut down
    • Over Temperature
    • Short-Circuit: S/C or Low resistance detected (<0.3 ohms)

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    The Okino C100 really surprised as far as the flavor produced from these coils, I tried the 0.6Ω mesh coil as well as the 0.4Ω mesh coil that comes in the kit. Flavor was really good but on the cooler side for my personal taste The 0.4Ω coil fires at 22.5 watts while the even cooler 0.6Ω coil fires at 18 watts, the smart tech inside the chipset determines which coil is being used and adjust wattage accordingly.

    With virtually nothing to adjust or use the fire button if you wish not to the Okino C100 is perfect for a new vaper or regular vaper wanting simplicity in a device. There are a few things that are a con for me and shipping with only 1 coil is the first, I mean things happen in production and if a bad coil gets by QC a user would not have a back up coil to turn to. My 2nd issue is the tinting of the pod ( TOO DARK ). In low lighting it's impossible to view the juice level, and my 3rd con is not being able to lock the fire button from firing.

    Having a 800mAh internal battery that last for a good long time gets added to the many pluses the Okino C100 has to offer. The absorbent pads are a great idea because leaking is what often kills devices of this type, in the week plus a few days I've noticed 0 leakage or condensation. For what it's intended to do it works great and again I'm very surprised at the great flavor coming from these coils albeit a cool vape. I would like to thank Alisa and Innokin for providing the Okino C100 device for review and I hope I answered all your questions about it.

    THANK YOU

    Great review Bob! I read the first part the other day before you were finished and forgot to come back to read the rest of it.

    It's happened to me a couple of times.
    Didn't realize half of the review was missing just when i was about to post a reply,so i deleted it and just waited for it to be finished ;)

    I agree on the 2nd coil coming with the kit. I only got about 50 or so puffs in and started to get a burnt flavor. I think I had it sitting on its side for a while and it broke the moisture barrier in the wick screwing to the capillary action. Couldn't get it to fix itself. This has happened on more than one occasion in the past. Hopefully the additional coils have a better result.

    The flavor also surprised me quite a lot!

    Great review, sir.

    Thank you, being left laying on it's side with low juice is more than likely the culprit. Lifespan is pretty good on these coils also.
