Greetings,

The instructions for battery insertion for my new SVD state:

"Please install an IMR battery before operation. Screw the battery negative (-) cap off the telescopic tube, then insert battery into the telescopic tube with the negative (-) end of battery in first and the positive (+) end out towards the battery negative (-) Cap."

It appears plainly written, but on most mods I think you insert the Positive (+) side of the battery in first, like a flashlight. Am I to understand that you indeed insert the negative side of the battery into the tube first, then screw the end cap onto the positive bump? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
SOT

I believe the unit will give an error message if the battery is inserted wrong.

Thank you very much for the help. I've watched a few reviews on the SVD since posting, and all are inserting positive end first. As soon as I get home with this, I'll put a new AW IMR 18650 in to try it out for the very first time!

Thanks again, and I hope your response will help others as well. Manufacturers really should review their manuals before going to print
