Newbie I-taste SVD Query

Hi folks, new here although been following for some time.
I have been vaping since October '12, and stopped smoking New Years Day, and still loving the Vape.
I have a few different batt packs, different atomisers, but decided that fasttech's deal on the SVD was too good to turn down.
So I purchased one, was sent in just over 2 weeks and arrived yesterday.
I have 2 x18560 li-ion 2000 mah batteries fully charged.
Ok, so the instructions are rather sketchy that came with the SVD, including the part where it says you should insert the negative end of the battery into the svd first, meaning the positive button end is at the negative screw top end??? wth to that??
So, armed with a Vivi nova head I proceed to put together. But, and here is the BIG but.
It will not work, I can get it to turn on, but as soon as I hit the power button to vape, I get a very short green light and the thing shuts down. So much so that the battery needs to be removed.
Without the Vivi, or the other atomisers (both U-tanks with carto's), It does switch on, although the loc fuction seems to self switch on, but the vape power button is functioning.
So the main question is, have a got a dodgy one and need sending back? Or in your opinions am I doing something wrong???
Help very much appreciated.

Hi, I put my battery in positive side in towards the 510 connection....
Also, some have had it turn off occasionally.... Try screwing the tube in tighter. Sometimes it may not make a connection?
I sure hope you get it going..... But if it does need to be sent back, they are good with the return policy.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more of a help... I'm sure many more will!!
Happy vaping!!

The power/voltage adjustment will lock itself every time you take the battery out. As far as the short green light, it may be defective. If the atomizer is shorted then you would get a solid red button. If there's no connection then the button light would function normally, but the atty wouldn't work.

I'd contact Fasttech's support staff. They'll likely issue you an RMA number, an address in Florida to ship it to, and send you a new one.

I thought as much tbh, I have raised a ticket with Fasttech, and I'm awaiting response from them.
Cheers.
