Hello folks and welcome to today's review of the TRINE SE from innokin. This is the 2nd version of the TRINE being a simpler version have no adjustments except for the airflow control, wattage adjustments are done automatically by way of it's smart wattage chipset. the reads what pod it installed and adjust wattage for that pod. The TRINE SE has a replaceable 1000mAh battery, only 1 is supplied. The maximum power output of the TRINE SE is is 25 watts, there are 3 VCAP pods that can be used.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


For as simple and easy as the TRINE SE is the packaging follows suite having the device and 2 pods as your equipment, no USB-C charge cord is provided. There is a quick start guild along with the VCAP 0.6Ω POD and 0.8Ω POD.I think this will be very affordable and why only one battery is included. INNOKIN also sent me the 1.2Ω VCAP POD.

The pods are color coded for fast identification, 0.6Ω -Orange 0.8Ω Blue and 1.2Ω Green, the wattage is printed on the pods with a recommended wattage but the TRINE SE adjust the wattage automatically for you.

Filling the pods is done by snapping off the mouthpiece which makes it very easy to fill.

Connection of the pod to the TRINE is done as most devices like this magnetically. The TRINE was designed to be a very easy to operate device having no buttons or a display screen but it does offer adjustable airflow by way of a slider control, there are 3 airflow holes. The TRINE is auto draw only.

One side of the TRINE has the USB-C charge port, INNOKIN uses colored lights to show the battery strength and there are only 3 colors used.

GREEN LIGHT - 100-30% FULL

YELLOW LIGHT - 30-10% FULL

RED LIGHT - UNDER 10% FULL

I feel the 1000mAh replaceable battery last for a long time. I really wish that INNOKIN would have sent the optional charger for the Replaceable Trine battery.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


I like the simplicity of the TRINE SE and think it gives good flavor from all the VCAP pods with my favorite being the 0.6Ω

I really like this style of top fill because it's so fast and easy to refill the pods.

The auto draw worked fine for me with my preference being 1 hole open. The smart wattage adjustments seemed to work just fine on all 3 pods, I never felt that I needed more or less wattage.

I do wish that there was a midway light color letting you know that your at 50 % full.
