Innokin VV V2 - no vape

Do not know whether this will help anyone. It's another thing I discovered on the journey. My other half likes the innokin iclear pen thing - we have had two and both have had the same problem. They vape only with pass-through (ie with the USB power cord attached) - but do not vape with just the battery. They charge, the LEDs work - everything seems to work (although they read a static 5.0 with just battery doing the two button test thing). I know the V2 has been discontinued and my other half has the V3 (with no pen and a standard 510 connection - these V3s are fine for us (except when she dropped one in the bath, accident prone as our household is!) So if you get one of these V2s and they do not seem to work, you are not going mad. I have not seen this anywhere else on the web, but given we have had two from different suppliers my guess is that some at least did go out with this fault.
Hope this helps someone - even if I have no solution. I keep trying to convice her to have a Provari but she says it looks like embarassingly something for the bedroom not for public use lol

I've never seen a v2... I guess that is why I've never heard of it.. vv3 is working fantastic for everyone I've seen or heard with it. Sorry for your troubles. Since there is already a vv3 around you, get a MVP 2.0.

Provari is a multi-purpose tool. It can also function as a great hammer.

If you have someone familiar with tinkering, have them open it and see if maybe one of the leads going to the battery is broken, it says it's charged because there is no load on the charging portion of the passthru circuitry, and since it runs with passthru but not on battery it sounds like a connection might have opened up.

Thank you for the advice. You are right about asking someone else - put me anywhere near soldering irons, or DIY and I'm likely to have the house fall down and a nuc explosion lol! That's why I love my provari - just fab and never goes wrong.
