Hey, JSYK, I ordered that Innovape extension cap from Vaporlab and it SUCKS BIG TIME!!!! The spring is only about 1/4 the size of a ProVape spring. When I shook my ProVari with that cheap cap on it, the battery rattled and the button light kept blinking on and off from the bad connection when being shook. You can't replace the spring with a real ProVari one because the hole in the cap is smaller and not threaded like in a ProVari. I wrote a bad review on their website and, gee, they didn't publish it! In fact, there are ZERO reviews! I WONDER WHY? I hate them...

Really? I have a completely different view as did otheres in this thread. So much so it makes me think you did not get the same extension cap I did.

I've used one for months. Love the look, love the machining and have had no rattle or problems whatsoever. The spring is not identical to the Provape spring, but not 1/4" different in height or width. If the width is off it's more like a mm. The height might be 1/8", but I'm not going to rip out springs to compare.

I guess guys just see sizes differently?

I haven't had any problems at all with the one I ordered...and use it on all my ProV's. I too love the look and machining of the cap...it has lately been hanging onto my Bronze standard making it an 18650. I honestly never thought I would use 18650 batts in my ProVari's but I totally love the long battery life.

I am trying to upload my pics and it says my message is to short. Hope this works...

Btw, when ordering, I asked about replacement springs...NO RESPONSE!

My spring in the Innovape extension cap looks just like that. I have used it on 5 different Provari minis in the last 5 months and it fits the 18490 battery perfectly. There is no rattle and no problem. Maybe you should inquire if you might have received a defective piece.

I have not used it with any other extension for the 18650--only 18490 size.

How about we compromise and say it's 3/16ths shorter? ;)

Thanks for the pictures -- I appreciate the effort and understand your frustration.

I don't recall, maybe I stretched the spring a bit when I first used it?

I've also never had a spring collapse on a Provari, so the replacement issue may not be as imperative to me.

Like much in this industry -- Opinions vary. I find it a very nice extension cap, well machined, well etched and with beautiful threads, just like the mod it goes with.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and also in making suggestions. I'm glad it worked out for those that it did.

I am using a full size ProVari and a 18650 AW IMR

Also, not to mince words, but it's not a opinion that they didn't publish my negative review or respond to my question about replacement springs. Given those two facts, I'm not interested in inquiring about whether or not I got defective equipment but am choosing to cut my losses and do business with vendors who have proven their worth.

Anyways, there's nothing more for me to say. I just wanted those who might be drawn to this thread looking for advice on whether or not to purchase said cap to read my experience.

Thanks again for trying to help.
