Hi, my name is Zach and i live in Detroit Michigan (USA). I got turned on to the intellicig evo through this forum, by user IGetcha, the local unpaid intellicig evangelist.

About me
I've been e-smoking for about a month and a half. I've smoked, in this order, an njoy Npro, A dse901, Janty Yentl, Rn4072 pen style, and now the intellicig.

About the intellicig
The intellicig is an e-fogger tested and assembled in the UK from chinese parts. To the best of my knowledge it is not all made in the uk, anyone can correct me on this if they feel i am wrong.
It is a super mini style cigarette with similar dimensions to the Npro or Yentl devices. The style of the cigarette and cartridge are slightly different than usual, the atomizer has a funnel shape and the steel wool on the end is very sturdy and rigid. The carts hold about as much juice as a dse901 cart. It holds a lot of juice for such a small machine. I bought the usb kit with 5 cartridges and the old battery (larger battery).

Ordering
I ordered from the british website intellicig.com and not the american site intellicigs.com
The device arrived in about 8 days from uk (not bad). The website is easy to use. Please note the prices on the US website are much higher, even after conversion to the american dollar. If i buy another device i will probably get it from the uk. If i buy carts or spare parts i may buy it from the US instead for ease of shipping. The guys at intellicig are cool to deal with.
I received no extras, but every part of the kits works as intended. I have not had to deal with their customer service in the week i have owned the device.

Aesthetics
The intellicig comes with a shiny battery with lines on it, the atomizer is nice and seems very sturdy. I like the carts because they are a slightly rubber texture, and easy to hold in your mouth. You can actually hold this device in your mouth like a real cigarette and it's easy to grip in your teeth.
The device itself is very light.
The USB charger feels very solid.

Performance
At first i had some trouble getting used to the intellicig, but i realized after a day or two that, basically, the intellicig is designed to smoke like a real cigarette. It gives you all the flavor and vapor of an e-cig (and you get lot of vapor actually) but it smokes a lot more like an analog. There is no need for a warmup puff and puffs are decidedly much shorter than on my other cigs. I found that i reached the cutoff quite quickly but that i achieved acceptable vapor well before i reached it.
I don't use the intellicig as my main cig, but performance is overall, very good. Batteries last an inordinately long amount of time (5-7 hours for me) and take an extremely short time to charge via usb passthrough. I don't know how this is accomplished except that the chip inside and atomizer are tuned to run super efficiently.
Smoking the intellicig feels different than smoking other e-cigs. The draw is harder but it's very apparent when the battery is on or off. I have not had a single pressure switch malfunction (this part is very impressive) and the cig is very consistent once you know how to drag on it.
The cartridges wick extremely effectively. I've found i can use almost every last little bit of juice in them before they taste dry.
Overall, very satisfied.

Zach scores
finish: 4 (i want a black one and black carts desperately, only available in white!) shiny parts turn me off.
vapor: 4.9, could use just a touch more throat hit to match my pen-style.
performance: 4.5 supermini, everything you'd want from a super mini, but not as good as my pen style w/passthrough
overall: 4.5
An excellent score for a super-mini. It's a good cig, if you are looking for a mini that's actually dependable and well-built/tested, this is the one.

I love my evo, but of course it is the only e cig I have but I think I made a very good choice for my first one. DO NOT order from the us website intellicigs.com I ordered mine on Dec 29, I recieved part of my order two weeks later, yes i know i paid more for it but I wanted it quickly so I thought I would get it a lot faster from the US. Boy was I wrong, they only sent one battery and and the wrong end color. I am STILL trying to get my extra batteries that I ordered and paid for almost a month ago. I have 3 or 4 people wanting to order one and they are waiting to see if I EVER get my batteries. I told them pay the extra shipping it will pay for itself to get it from the uk.

lol I love how efogger has now been adopted as a term... kind of like spinach.... everyone for years thought spinach was a protein powerhouse...which made popeye love it... all because some book from 1800's said spinach had so much per ounce.... and it really had a decimal point mislabeled and it took till just a decade or so ago for them to realize the blunder..

For the price they are excellent, particularly in the UK. If I was to get rid of all bar two devices I'd probably keep a penstyle of some sort and one of these. Would like a black one though.

A good thing I am finding about it is it seems to bring out the e-liquid flavours more readily than some of my others. Don't know why. But it seems not to hold residual flavour for as long as the 901 for example. I can go from very strong mint, to something completely different, and I completely lose the mint taste after a few puffs.

Well, imo the best combination of cigs is a pen-style with a usb passthrough and an intellicig for when you need something more portable. Both are dependable and produce acceptable vapor, imo.
YMMV

and for rejoice: there is no passthrough battery for this device (yet) so you can't use it with your apc pack. The batteries are really great though, the best batteries i've used. They charged in about 45 mins-1 hour and last up to 8 hours? Really, and i mean you're smoking the cig in that time, not just letting it sit. Like i said mine last 5-7 hours.

I really like me Evo too! Been switching back and fourth between Evo/Dura for the last couple days, the Evo is keeping pace maybe using it a little more because the battery lasts quite long.

I do hate the 5 sec cuttoff!

Also it feels dainty when I switch from my dura as its like 2mm thinner, but that's just me.

Love doing a single drip on the Evo's mesh, it gives like two amazing hits right after... makes me think of the first couple hits in the morning, when I was smoking analogs.

Rejoice: If it's a real intellicig you're talking about (not sure if you got it from ebay, if you want a real one buy it from intellicig.com) then i'm sorry but i must insist it does not have a usb passthrough. There's a difference between a usb charger and a usb passthrough.
A passthrough allows you to smoke right off a usb port. That's plugging the cig directly into the usb.
A usb charger allows you to plug one of your batteries into the usb port to charge. It's different. What you got, if it's an intellicig, is an atomizer + battery + usb charger. Intellicig doesn't make a passthrough yet.

I agree about the cutoff, it takes forever to come back but i find myself rarely going all the way to the cutoff anyways.

Also fedor, i am pretty sure intellicig is different from an m401. I've never used a 401 so i can't say, but that's the impression i get from reading other peoples posts. I read different stats than the device i have, for instance more normal charging times and shorter battery life.
The intellicig has what i consider an exceptional battery unit, from what i am observing every part functions exactly as it should, from the pressure switch to the led. The unit is also not set up for failure like many generics i've smoked, in that if it gets flooded it doesn't drip into the pressure switch, which from my perspective is the weakest part of all e-cig batteries.

I'll try and get my hands on a 401 so i can compare.

I don't intend to get into any kind of debate of whether they are the same anymore. Since you plan to get one to compare, we'll leave it at that as time will tell.

My post was merely to suggest a place where you can get a black version since you want it very much. Thats all. Nothing else. Any offence is greatly regretted.

guys, ignore fedor. he has a gripe over the EVO........view his past posts and you will see that all he does is try to cause arguments or put people off from purchasing. plus all he seems to do is constantly plug absolutely e-cigs.

read the reviews and positive comments on the product and make up your own mind.

and dont.......i repeat dont purchase from the us site intellicigs.com

they are not an official site and from my dealings with them stealing from me i would not trust them whatsoever.
either buy from the official uk site or wait until the official us site has been opened.

Hi guys. This is my first post here. I`ve been reading for a few days and this little cig looks like it could be my ideal first one.
Zach, thanks for the review. Still I`m not clear about refilling, I plan to use Johnson Creek juice with it, and i`m not sure about these cartridges and dripping. Is it possible? That is vital for me.

And yes, you mentioned that you have to draw harder from this one. Was it so hard to become a distraction, or you can live with it?
Thanks for any answer ;)

Igetcha,
people could say the same thing about your posts, you bash everything but the Evo and intellicig, it has even been suggested that you work for them

I don't really care if you do or not, but I'd say you are in the same glass house as Fedor if not even more so

fair point mate. yes i do mention the EVO a lot........but i only mention it on EVO related threads or if someone asks me about it!

for instance, i have NEVER gone onto a thread about a 901, or minifogger etc and told people not to purchase it and get the EVO instead from a different company such as intellicig.

whereas me old mate fedor regularly goes onto EVO related threads and tells people its a con and to just purchase a 401, 402 etc from absolutely e-cigs.

to me, that is a big difference

as for working for them........zzz zzz zzz zzz boring! i also do reviews for mirage, e-cigs plus i will be doing a review on gamucci products too. surely that must mean that i work for them too!

since doing video reviews, on a weekly basis i now get sent free stuff from various electronic cigarette companies in the hope i will give them a good review. if i like the product then i will spend my time doing a review.......if i dont like it, i wont!

also, i never, ever asked for people to constantly send me emails, pm's and youtube messages about the EVO. ive had hundreds since doing the 1st EVO review and everyone has been answered. i could have quite easilly ignored them all, but that is not the type of guy i am. however, if foolish people keep accusing me of working for intellicig then maybe my replies will be different in future.

i am a self employed plasterer who runs a plastering business. my website is www.protrowel.com

fedor sent me a pm earlier today stating that "all the mods" are certain that i work for intellicig. i suggest that if the mods feel that strongly then you should put your "evidence" on the forum for everyone to see and then ban me.
