The EVO is interchangeable with the M401. The M series is actually a hard little hitter. The only drawback I ran into is the auto batteries come in two basic styles. The vacuum switch, which is activated when you draw on it, and the sound sensitive, which activates when it "hears" the air rushing by. The sound sensitive actually have a tiny microphone device in them.

Both seem to work OK, but the sound sensitive is bad for noisy environments. They will "self activate" from things like loud music, factory noise, wind, riding a motorcycle, etc.

Hi Navi; I have an Evo e-cig from Intellicig in the UK and I agree that it can activate itself on its own. If I put it on the dashboard of the car, sometimes the red light glows a bit just from the car vibrations. Doesn't bother me though because I always keep my batteries charged and ready.
The ecopure liquid that I have with my evo is very very very nice! So much like a real tobacco taste but better and smoother!! It draws great and is fantastic to hold - very like the real thing for me.
My only problem with my evo is it's the worst for dripping a bit of liquid from the end when I use it. Totally disgusting-Yuk :) The carts aren't very big so don't hold a lot which may be the problem? Now I don't draw so hard on it and as soon as I get a drop I open the cart to clean it off and blow any excess through the end.
I love the taste, feel and performance of this evo so if I can sort out the leakage problem (could just be that mine is faulty?) I'll have myself the perfect ciggie.
Good luck

I started out with the evo and now that I have the 510, it's like a whole new world. My evo (I've gone through 3 of them) is very inconsistant in producing vapor, activates itself, leaks juice into my mouth (yuck!), and you have to draw so freaking hard on it to get a hit that by the end of the day my cheeks were sore. Out of 7 batts with the evo, 3 were defective. I still keep one on hand in case of an emergency, but only because I got it a week before I got my 510 so it's still useful. I would never waste my hard earned money on another evo and I would never recommend it either.

...and I'm the opposite: love my EVO, don't like the 510.

I have found the EVO to be incredibly reliable and hard-wearing and it gives a hit without a burnt taste.

Battery life is better than a 510, and so is flavour.

As someone already mentioned, used with ECOpure, it's brilliant (after all, the ECOpure was designed to work with the EVO ;) )

As someone mentioned, the only down-side is that the batteries can activate with vibration, but there are some manual 401 batteries out there now, so that is easily fixed :D

Funny how different we all are with our models and tastes lol !
I'm the same as angela and prefer the evo for taste (eco pure), hit, battery life and consistency compared to the titan so if I didn't have the leakage problem i would be 150% content with it.
Stil love the 510 but I play with that one throughout the day rather than when I feel I really need a smoke- I have to go for the evo.
I'm waiting on a mighty atom automatic battery for the evo; sounded fantastic in the shop site!
I'm also waiting on an automatic battery though for my 510 because I don't feel as comfortable vaping with a manual e-cig as I do with the automatic one.

LOL! It is funny how we all have our own different tastes.

Angela, We should get together & trade, my new evo for your 510. Then we'd both be happy!
