Hello and welcome to ecf. As long as the threading on the carto is 510(to match your battery) then yes. I looked at your links and yes they are 510's, so you are good to go.
Sounds like virgin vapor is a good deal.
:)

Given the ego V6 only does 4v plus, do you think the resistance could be an issue. The Virgin Vapor ones don't seem to state what they are?

I looked again and while they do not say, I would think they are 3.0 ohm. The OP could certainly ask VV for that option. Altho, a lr at 2.0hm would do ok at 4v

:)

edit... VV has a drop down box for options on ohm. Standard = 3.0 ohm LR(low resistance) should be a 2.0
but they can still ask.

When using vv(as I do) I use the standard 3.0 at about 4v sometimes 4.2

According to the blurb on the Velvet Cloud site for the eGo v6 I bought, "This mod has 3 Voltage Settings - 4V, 5V, 6V with an indication by color on an LED band under the main switch. Remember this is a High Voltage system, so you must use high resistance atomizers. Also please note this has a 510 connection."

So okay on the connection, but then I read a review for these cartos and I see this, which is esp. important to me b/c I prefer tobacco flavors so far: "Remember, standard for flavors, LR for tobacco!"

Oy! So many factors, I'm dying here!

If I understand what we're saying above, maybe I want to get LR cartos and not use the 5 or 6 volt modes...and if I did I would cook the carto, right, not my battery...or my funky self, I hope!

Yes, you are correct about cooking at LR. But I would do just the opposite actually. Get the standard cartomizers which are 3.0 ohm, then experiment on the 4v, 5v, 6v. That is what I would do. You have less chance of 'cooking' anything with the standard. But since she offers 3 boxes, you can try one box of lr. Your decision.

drumstick, have you used cartomizers before?

If so, what resistance were they?

Lower resistance will produce a warmer vape. Standard resistance will produce a cooler vape.

Lower resistance uses more amperage from the battery than standard resistance does, so will drain a battery slightly faster.

Wow, your explanation is just the opposite of what I was thinking.

My eGo came with two blank cartos but no info about what resistance they are. Only info I have is posted on the pages linked in my original post here.

The link to velvet cloud you provided does say they come with 4.5 ohm cartomizers. Maybe you would do better to stick with those? I have never tried the 4.5ohm and as I said, I use the STandard Resistance at 3.0(boges) at 4v-4.2.

:)
Here is the description from velvet cloud provided by the link you gave

Description

Everything you need, except the e-liquid.

A great buy, limited quantity. Includes 1 eGo v6 mod tube, 4 16340 Batteries, A/C wall charger and 2 Blank Cartomizers (4.5 Ohms)

This mod has 3 Voltage Settings - 4V, 5V, 6V with an indication by color on an LED band under the main switch. Remember this is a High Voltage system, so you must use high resistance atomizers. Also please note this has a 510 connection.

Battery energy takes the route of least resistance. Remember that.

Low resistance coils mean just that, there is less resistance for the electrons coming from the battery to heat up up the coil. All this energy pulled from the battery drains it slightly faster than a standard resistance coil would. More energy used means a hotter coil resulting in warmer vapor.

Higher resistance coils have more resistance to the electrons going to the coil. Less electrons are needed to fire the coil, so less energy is consumed. The heating coil doesn't get as hot, so a cooler vape ensues.
