So I've been looking into e-cigs for a while and having done quite a bit of research, I'm almost ready to make my first buy. I like the idea of going with the Bloog, as I've read some good things about it and happen to be from Canada, its available, looks like an analog etc.

I have noticed that there seems to be a big community of juice makers/mixers etc. and am concerned about the steep learning curve. I'm also a bit concerned that there seem to be no pre-filled cartomizers for the Bloog in Canada. Sounds like small reasons to shy away, but I'm just afraid to make the investment before trying it out. Advice?

Well I still haven't tried it, but will likely order one today. From what I've read it has really great vapor production for realistic TH's, it looks like an analog, battery life reviews seem pretty decent and its available in Canada through HappyVaper, so those are the real highlights. I've also read that the 510 is good as well, but Bloog is a newer product that seems to get rave reviews.

I do have a question though, suppose I order KR8 cartomizers for a Bloog, apparently they fit, but will they perform like the bloog atomizer?

I actually had the same question as my first device was a KR808. From what I understand, the rave reviews that you've read pertain to using the bloog cartomizer with the bloog battery. Although the bloog is a kr808, the technology is the newest (perfected?!) which makes it perform more like an anolog. Also, the cartomizer design is different from a regular 808 cartomizer....specifically the atomizer coil and wicking design.

Although I don't have the bloog, from what I've read, I don't think you'll go wrong there. The 'blank only' cartos available through canadian vendors is somewhat troubling, particularly for newbies just starting out who just want to 'plug and go'...I sympathize! But, I do have to add that filling cartos is a relatively simple procedure and there are more than enough people here to walk you through that process!

The standard kr808 carto's work fine on the BMF however they do not seem to perform as well as the BMF cartomizers. The bloog carts have the heating coil horizontal from what I have heard and that makes the difference. Also they just switched to what they call version 2 of there cartomizers so I am sure they are new and improved even more now. As for only having blank carts available... look up refilling using the condom method. Works great! and it is very easy and cheap to find some premixed e-juice. No need to mix your own. Yeah I have used several different e-cigs and have found the Bloog MF to be one of my favorites.

Thnx everyone - wood actually let me try an ego, kr808 and a bloog today and it was definitely an interesting experience and I think I'm still sold on the Bloog.

My next question is in reference to e-juice. I am a moderate smoker and don't believe I'm as hooked to the nic, as I am to the feeling, and was wondering if there is a no-nic premixed e-juice that I could buy to eventually end up at that still has great TH on the bloog

You lose flavour and definitely lose throat hit with lower nics. You might want to try medium 12-18mg or low 0-6mg before going cold turkey though. You can always dilute them with PG or VG yourself.

Don't look any further than the Bloog Maxx Fusion man. It may be a liiiiil costly, but it is worth every penny to buy them now before people catch on and the price goes up. I know quite a few people who own e-cigs, but the ones that haven't bought a Bloog are still smoking analogues on the side and watching me burn down on this 102mm with envy. Not only because of it's sex appeal, but because the amount of vapor it produces is ludicrous, and that I can chain vape one 102mm for almost 8 hours. Granted, other brands may have sexy PCC's, cool LED's or fun colors, but Bloog surpasses all of them because of it's performance. It isn't cheap, and it doesn't feel cheap, it doesn't look cheap either. I turn a lot of heads everywhere I go smoking on this thing, and get tons of questions even from fellow e-cig users.
It doesn't look like much, but Bloogs are the way vaping was meant to be. IMO of course.

But all that modding/customizing is such a pain, and so is shipping from Hong Kong, so why bother when you could buy something American made that will knock you on your .... right out of the box?

I use the Bloog carto's and they are grate, i use them on a V4L 808 and they work just fine no burning taste and hit is real nice. Just condom fill them and top them off with a couple of drops in the top and your set. My self I like the manual batts so i can hit it as long and hard as i like but might try a Bloog batt when i am ready for a new one. Just my be awhile because i have a Darwin coming on its way 8)

"chain vaping" is relative. you said you get 8 hours of almost chain vaping...i get 5hrs of almost chain vaping(and yes i also use the 102mm battery).
thats being said, i have the ego, riva, BMF and the echo and i love them all, they all serve a purpose. one thing my set ups have in common is that they all have cartomizers, some smaller some bigger. for the OP: i love my bloog, it gives as much vapor as any of my other units and looks stellar. to the poster that said 0mg nic doesnt give the flavor? i didnt know nicotine had anything to do with flavor. ive tried liquids anywhere from 24mg to 0mg and flavor is the same. i have noticed that the bmf cartos lasts longer than any other cartomizer i have ever tried, on the carto on my echo, jury is still out but im suspecting it will last longer. i would highly recommend the bmf, just make sure when you fill your cartos that you dont over fill them and get the battery wet (ive ruined a new battery by over filling the carto). always remove the cartomizer from the battery when filling and wipe the threaded end fo the carto dry before connecting it to the battery. to be on the safe side, after refilling the carto, let it sit on a paper towel (threaded end down) for about 10 mins prior to wiping it dry. good luck and happy vaping.

I'm glad everyone is going seems to be giving Bloog a try :) The double coil cartomizers in the MF are clearly the next engineering step to a perfected 808! If the BMF cartos last as long as you say they do, I may have to convert to those! How does the vapor compare to a 102mm Bloog MF?
Either way, good posts :D!

Condom fills+Maxx Fusion cartos=FTW

As far as e-juices go... I've noticed you lost throat hit and that "nicotine" flavor when you step down the MG dosage.. but for the moderate vaper/light smoker a lower dose would be advisable. But I've noticed with a lower dosage I just vape more of it, more often, and in turn have become more addicted to Nic. But with a higher dosage you may not want to vape as much.. I have noticed that when I vape 24mg the vapor production is exactly twice that of 16. Even though the math doesn't make sense, the difference is stark!

I'm gonna get a BMF carto :D
