So, last night, I rebuild my kraken clone with a dual .5Ω(total), and decided to try some cotton as my wick. Using organic Rite-Aid brand, I noticed the "balls" of cotton are actually these little sheets, about 3/4" wide, rolled up to look like balls. This, of course, works perfectly, 'cause all you have to do is unroll one, then divide it into 3 strips, then roll each one into a wick.
After getting my wicks set up, and filling the tank, I noticed it seemed to be taking a while for top of the wicks to get wet. Didn't think anything of it at the time, just juiced up the top of the wicks and vaped away.
Today, I noticed my juice level getting a bit low. Haven't had any dry or burnt hits all day, BTW. Pulled out my handy-dandy U-can and started squirting juice into the fill hole. Looking through the glass, I notice no juice is going into the tank??? Pull the U-can out, and notice the top of the deck is FLOODED with juice, and none of it is going into the tank, even though the needle was in the tank......
Only thing I can figure is my wicks, when wet, are causing some sort of vacuum lock, and not allowing the juice into the tank. Had to cut down a coffee stirrer, insert it into the tank, then insert the U-can needle into the stirrer in order to fill the tank.... What is really weird is that the U-can needle isn't a tight fit in the fill hole, so some air should have been escaping around it, allowing the tank to fill, but it wasn't.
Any one else seen this before???
